I loved when you guys discuss topics at the end of the episodes, that's why I loved watching mushoku tensei again with you guys' reaction you always have such good insight into topics and communicate it so well, thanks for switching to dub too its so much better IMO, yeah also phone bad, phone really bad IMO too I had one growing up I started on my moms flip phone thankfully we didn't have short form content yet so we only played games on our smarphones and watched gore videos , oh how good early internet was, I wouldn't give my child a phone with apps on it like tiktok cause from my pov I'm addicted as much as anyone else to short form content. I don't know how to feel about it because I think I use it fairly well I take inspiration from tiktok as much as any other media in my works and it helps me not miss out on current events though I hate the doomscrolling aspect sometimes, its a love and hate relationship.

Your talk at the end about the dangers of our digital culture was really meaningful to me. Did you know that the inventors and CEO's of all these addictive digital things don't let their kids touch any of it? I forgot the exact details but it was in a cool book called "How to break up with your phone" where it's about taking a closer look on our relationship to the digital stuff. Cyberpunk 2077, the game is really immersive and scary. The places are the same as in the anime. It's scary, cause it feels real, like something that could happen in our reality. I think learning about trauma, developmental and relational trauma and spirituality/ meditation is essential, because our technological progress moves so much faster than our our psychological development and process of maturation. Knowing one's own body, survival mechanisms, adaptive survival strategies and also higher states of consciosness is also essential, it's very different from psychology and normal therapy, which can neglect the importance of the body, experiences and relationships and can become too intellectual without providing actual tools. I'd say all unresolved trauma is the root of all addictions, I experience it in my own life where the more present I am the less I can become addicted, to the point where I have experienced how it is where I experienced how I can transform an urge and became free of it completely on my own, just by being able to work with my emotions, energy and body.
