There were a few minor things I didn’t really like in season 1, but overall the anime as a whole is amazing. The consistently high quality, the diversity and probably most importantly the pacing - everything feels really good. It’s impressive.

that "ora! ora! ora!" scene reminds me of Jojo's bizarre adventure

I feel bad for Jiji when Okarun pushed him away;((

Steph: "Where are Aira's parents?" 🤣

Yeah idk, sure the evil eye outbursts arent jiji's fault but this entire situation is completely his fault for stopping the exorcism earlier and electing to keep evil eye in him. So its hard not to get mad at him for bringing this fully preventable element of chaos into their lives. Would be like electing to save some pitbull with a history of biting people and keeping it at home, sure its not at fault for how it is but ytf are you getting everyone into this situation in the first place

"Where are Aira's parents?" Well we know where her mom is, and her ghost "mom".

For what a catastrophe entity they have on their hands, they are ridiculously careless. But I guess that keep the drama happening.

Don't know if either of you will even see this but: Can't say for sure as far as real life goes, but in animeland, basically every school in Japan has what's called the "7 mysteries", i.e. seven ghost stories that are particularly popular or lasting (the students may literally pass them down like tradition). Some of the stories may vary depending on the region, but the most prominent ones are, Toire no Hanako-san (a ghost girl that shows up in the third stall of the third floor's toilet if someone calls for her, she can range from harmless to drag the person to hell depending on the version of the legend), The anatomical model that walks around at night (in DanDaDan, that's Taro), and The piano that plays itself at night (which in the end of this episode, was the DanDaDan version of it). A lot, if not most, animes that have "school + supernatural" setting will reference, make mention, or outright have cameos or instances of the 7 mysteries, so yeah, in-universe, it's not that Momo and Okarun's school is particularly bad, probably any school has similar things happening. By the way, each school having their own "7 mysteries" is probably true in real life too. Japan has such a prominent tie to the supernatural, millions of gods, a myriad of yokai, and of course, a vast amount of haunted houses, tunnels, bridges and what have you. If you start researching Japan's history with the supernatural, you may just end in a rabbit hole that will consume you for years (and that's one of the coolest things about it).
