I belive the line "Choo choo. Train entering platform six" from Antonín Dvořák (the green composer playing on the bass) is a reference to one train station in Osaka where Symphony no. 9 From the new World (by A. Dvořák) is played as departure melody.

That's quite a unique training arc for sure. This show just keeps on giving.

Ok, as an opera singer myself, I feel obliged to just mention that Phantom of the Opera is not real opera. It's musical theater with some operatic elements. In Phantom (and other musicals), the orchestra is a limited size whereas operas will generally have a much bigger orchestra (depending on the time period of composition) even up to over 100 musicians. But I would say one of the biggest differences is that Phantom singers are miked and amplified with modern technology in order to be heard. Opera singers don't need mikes, their voices can carry over the orchestra without any technological assistance, and yet still be expressive enough to convey emotion through their singing. The styles of singing used in opera and Phantom/musicals are very different. And while the vocal elements of Beethoven's 9th are not opera either, I would definitely say it's closer to opera than Phantom is. As for the 4 main singers, they're just generic representations of soloists from the 4 primary vocal parts. The Bass-baritone at the start and then the soprano, alto, and tenor that join later. Unrelated, the blue violinist that said "Poop! Poop!" was Mozart. He was known for enjoying "poop" humor. He even composed a piece called "Leck mich im Arsch"... Lick Me in the Ass... Yeah, that's Mozart for you.
