03:36 - I got the sense that the mole type 67 was not one in particular that has been around since '67 (obviously it was named for when it was first encountered) but its type is simply one that tends to reappear in that area in regular intervals. Notice the captain referred to it as "a mole type" and not "the mole type 67". So I would surmise, the Defense Force would not just leave a Honju like that un-neutralized for it to reappear again and again. It's more likely that area is somehow special where mole type kaiju tend to sprout from. That seems to be in line with what we have been shown thus far. Kafka and the other Defense Force members referring to various kaiju as "types" with the heavy implication that types can be encountered repeatedly in various locations.
