I was a bit skeptical at the beginning but this show is amazing through and through. Season 3 has already been confirmed (no release date yet) and as far as I know the anime has covered about 1/3 of the manga, which is still ongoing - so there’s still a lot of content for the future.

Couple of slight things. Minor spoilers 1) There were two places they could have ended this season. They chose this one, but had they not had some of the anime only kaiju stuff they COULD have ended it at the end of the next manga chapter after these events that sets up the next antagonists and a small introduction to our new alien friend. They went with the former instead. lol 2) The Gangagang squad is HUGE. Including both grannies and counting Jiji and Evil Eye as one person we are at 12 party members give or take in the manga. 3) The Kaiju lightning ability wasn't used during this fight in the manga, however it is something similar to what the Kaiju can and will do. Every use of it is anime only. 4) Our new alien friend's name is going to be interesting when they confirm it in the anime because it can be pronounced a few different ways since it uses both V/B and L/R sounds which can be interchangeable. 5) Both explosions (the house here and the UAP at the end of episode 1) are anime only, but greatly appreciated. Also... Aira was still inside when Momo blew it up... RIP Aira.

Actually no. The lightning is never coming back because the suits horns were broken off. That's why they could add it without changing future fights. The horns being broken off meant nothing in the manga, but thanks to the addition of the lightning ability, it now means something. Also RIP my goat Aira
