I get both Wes and Steph in regards to your feelings about Bakugo, haha! I didn't like him a lot in season 1 and 2 but now that the show is almost over, I can confidently say that Bakugo is my favourite MHA character and probably male character from all anime I have watched. I don't know why exactly but I guess it's because I really enjoy his character arc and, even though he's very cocky, he actually has the abilities and the determination to match his own words. He's the type of character that I wanna root for, not because he's perfect, but because I wanna see him change and get better (plus, I agree with Wes that he's also hella funny) :D

About Bakugo - I didn't like him as a character yet in this arc. But it's fair to say I enjoy his character outside of his bully tendencies. But atp in the story, he's still rude but he's actually stopped actively bullying anyone. Horikoshi did so well with writing a lot of them and that's how most Bakugo fans came to be. The only kid he never got me to like is actually Mineta. I actually really love next episode because Ochaco is one of my favorites and Bakugo has also grown on me so rewatching their fight is one of the highlights of this season for me.

I understand that Mineta isn't everyone's favorite character, but the hatred he receives is exaggerated. His only crime is being a teenager with raging hormones. When I started watching the series, I was indifferent to him, but seeing how part of the fandom hated him, I started paying more attention to him, and in the end, he ended up being one of my favorite secondary characters, seriously, since he gets more screen time than other secondary characters. You guys are right about one thing: Mineta has something of Horikoshi about him. Horikoshi himself said in an interview, jokingly, that Mineta is based on his high school self, but only in terms of being a dork and socially awkward.

No, his crime is actual sexual harassment. Kaminari is a boy with raging hormones, what Mineta does is by definition sexual harassment and sometimes sexual assault. Edit: Midnight is hated for the same reason
