Now Rookie's gotta deal with the OTHER half of the problem Mandy caused... but I think this one will end well. Vanny's probably just upset that he wasn't talking to her for a while, and given that he resigned without telling her (if that wasn't just a bluff) then there's some serious rebuilding needing to happen. But like I said, he'll pull through. This is the easy part, really. Also, notice how she's back to smoking and has eye bags again... it really makes me sad to see her in this state :(

The Patreon notices for this comic have had a lot of moments that really took me aback over the last month when I opened my emails, and that's often just from the textless, uncolored WIPs. This was no exception. Just from this, I can feel the "do you have any idea (how worried I've been/what you could have done/that I could have helped too)" energy. And after looking closer, I see what I can only assume is a cigarette, which I hoped we wouldn't see her with again no matter how this arc went but I had a feeling we would. I know she said she was "starting to leave them" and quitting smoking isn't an overnight thing...but this hurts even more to see it stressed her so much that she's gone back off the wagon. Time to show their relationship really is meant to last a lifetime.
