...Psycho Cut, I assume? Tail wrapped around waist like a belt? Thousand-yard stare? Does Vanessa have combat training too and/or is so driven that she's using a move Espeons can't learn? Badass. I get why Alex wants Vanessa to just run, but when they had the "I'm not going anywhere, and neither are you" talk, she meant it as much as he did, and she's not the only one worth risking it all for. Alex has grown *a lot* into a character as lovable as Vanessa and that's been one of my favorite things about this comic. But it's Vanessa's turn to show how much she's grown and why they're called "Partners." After all, the games may use math in the battles, but one of the most recurring themes in the whole series is that teamwork and a strong bond is better than type advantages. I don't know what the rules are for Pokémon moves in this world, but if Mandy is going to end this KO'd or dead, whatever Vanessa's going to do, she'd better be thorough and quick because Gardevoirs can learn Teleport. P.S.: On the off chance that nice old Bewear shows up again, since this is where Alex met her, she better not get hurt by either side (intentionally or as collateral damage) or I'll be very upset.

You know something just occured to me. Do you think stuff like this happens often in the Gammainks universe? Like, I 100% bet there are ultra evolutions that get a bit too big for their britches, and an actual special pokemon only police force has to be called on accidents like this. It'd be crazy if these two duked it out, to the death as it seems, and there NOT be police on their way from a HUGE explosion in the middle of a populated city. Then again, this fight seems to have only just started. So maybe they don't have the news yet.
