Trying to avoid gushing again, and it took some effort just to pare things down to this: * Despite being so full of herself that she's basically thrown the fight at least twice and I don't see her getting control of it back again, Mandy's got power, versatility and, so it seems, experience.  Even with Vanessa using The Power Of Love, breaking the limits of "possible," and genuinely surprising Mandy twice back to back, she still would have won if she just weren't so completely full of herself.  Which makes me yet again wonder how she's now used three moves Gardevoirs can't learn on their own, at least in the games, even if she's hit the "if I don't un-fuck myself, I'm dead" phase.  Also, nice choice of move, Icy Wind was one of my favorite new moves in my G/S days. * While I hate seeing Vanessa or Alex hurt, we've seen Alex power through pain and now we might be seeing Vanessa do the same, AND we see a bit of her past?  Awesome...if sad. * Fuyuki said she was Vanessa's older sister (and as vFence47 mentioned, they have ages of Vanessa at 36 and Fuyuki at 38) so I figured it was natural enough she'd evolve first, but I never thought it could have been like this. * I wondered from the WIP if Fuyuki had evolved by accident and Vanessa was comforting her. It's pretty sad, having only seen Fuyuki as a very happy and loved/loving woman who had nothing but confidence in how sexy she was and how much her sexiness has grown the course of marriage and kids...until now.  It's sadder to think she only got there after overcoming the trauma of being forced into a body she wanted to avoid.  But at the same time, seeing Vanessa was the first one who was there when she needed her makes the earlier part of their visit and Fuyuki being so happy that her sister looks so much more alive, with Vanessa having possibly been in a similar situation where she couldn't love herself, all the more loving...and also makes the ending of her own comic where she became a mother all the more heartwarming, and I didn't think that was possible.  Way to not just bring the romantic/sexual love but the family love, too; your "digital illustrations made with love" motto is well-earned. * (Side note, kind of a scary thought, that even if evolution stones are carefully restricted for this reason, just touching one is enough.  I'm probably overthinking it but I wonder if that's part of why Bianca's got her attitude: Because she doesn't want to evolve.) * If this is what Vanessa is thinking about to remind herself there was a time she endured the cold for someone she loves, which might also remind her she has to keep Fuyuki and her family safe from Mandy too, she's going to rebound hard, and since we're all sharing our wonders on "what's next?", my guess is this memory is about to springboard her into breaking her limits (and possibly her gem) again, and whether Mandy has anything left or not, she's about to know she's staring death in the face now.
