No entiendo nada, quienes se supone que son ellos??

Wait was she groomed or something? Iโ€™m a little slow when it comes to visuals, but looks tragic nonetheless

highburst

Well i had a slight hunch, but this is way beyond what i thought.

So she was bred and experimented for illegal pokemon battles from what this flasback looks like, not to mention that she had someone to rely on before that person "disappeared". God do I wish people and pokemon like Mandy can have normal lives instead of these shit cards that there delt with ( Forgot to include her being homeless and from what it looks like a shitty adopted parents and of course being bullied to all hell)

Oh noโ€ฆoh myโ€ฆ Gamma speedrunning Dive Into The Heart ~Destati~ here.

Please, my heart is still recovering. ...So...I, and other commenters, might have been right. She was forced to develop her powers. She was forced into battle. She was maybe even forced to kill as a child. And whether she was abandoned, orphaned, or a runaway, she progressed to "escapee" from there. And she wasn't a teen like I thought she might be on second thought. She was a child. And They might really have been as bad as I feared. They were working in concert, they were in her life for a long time. Artistically, showing this in monochrome, in silence, and with the passage of time (edit: and, as Pana 700 said on e6, possibly also showing the loss of her innocence and/or sanity) marked by flower petals falling hits harder than any dialogue could. As is showing Them as shadowy figures even when Vanessa's seeing Mandy's memories: They left her so damaged that she can't clearly remember them. It's letting my own head fill in the blanks, and may also be showing off that Mandy's having such a meltdown that this is all that's left of her memories. Lastly...her jumpsuit has a number. She might have been one of many, many victims. And when people like this gather to do these kinds of deeds, they rarely do it once, and it looks like they were very good at it. My mental soundtrack has gone from "Vs. Lance/Rival/Red" from Pokรฉmon Gold/Silver to "This Is My Despair" from Madoka: Rebellion. Whatever happens to Mandy, and I can only imagine Vanessa feeling conflicted but even now I wouldn't oblige her to spare Mandy, as I said in Part 51, whether Mandy plays a part in this or not... Now I have a personal need to know They don't, or didn't, get away with it.

Cabanskyy

Ok, so Mandy wasn't evil in the start. She got turned into a weapon. That kinda reminds me of the time me and my buddy Keith snuck a paintballs into a rollercoaster...

Commander

How come she wasn't a Raltz?

HonkingSpider

Dude that analogy with the flower losing its petals is both a fantastic and an awful thing. Extremely well-done gamma

Gamma. can you Explain the Info Please? Cause my Hate for her still Stands

Pettway1996

Okay now I really feel bad about Mandy

BNWF1

Well, damn๐Ÿ˜ž. Me personally, I don't think I could turn her in to the police. Simply because whose to say that people who done this won't find her again. It's a long shot, but they could possibly adopt her as a daughter. Now hear me out, obviously her mind is not right because of all the damage she taken, but if she can be around people who would actually care for her and not for her powers, she might actually turn around for the better.

The Professional

Street urchin turned into weapon against her will. Damn, thatโ€™s sad. And why does my own assessment of what happened to her remind me of several different video games?

Rocky Wolfknight

....why do I feel like there is much more to the break up from the Vaporeon story than we realize???

KinkyFoxxx

From what I've put together and guess: The flowers represent Mandy's innocence that was slowly plucked away as she was used as a test subject. The last one only remains because she fought back and ran...and most likely kept running never to trust again. Even to the point she pushed away Dylan in the end, Valerie's bf, which is actually decent she didn't go psycho then. She went psycho this time from the fear of returning from what she escaped. She has accidentally pulled Vanessa due to Espeon's and Gardevoir's having the Synchronize ability. And since the fear she felt was so strong she is witnessing the past events in a flash

Pettway1996

We feel so bad for Mandy why sheโ€™s a bitch in the first place

โ˜† nite.

This is it. We finally see into Mandy's past... and damn, it is depressing beyond belief. I wasn't expecting this at all... her being a vulnerable child, all alone, that found her fate in the hands of a group that wanted to use her for their own twisted needs. The symbolism of the flower losing it's petals as the time passes, her inner self deteriorating as They kept control of her... damn, that hit me hard. She was hanging on by a thread as she escaped... Also, seeing her trying to be a normal kid then her having blood on her hands in the following memory... that's a different type of dark. And, as some people pointed out... she's definitely not the only one who had to experience this. Hell, she might have been one of the only ones to ever escape... who knows what would have happened if she didn't? This just makes me more interested in who exactly They are, and how they are able to get away with their actions. When drafting my comment for this part, a specific theme popped into my head... ๐ŸŽต - Trail of Blood from Final Fantasy VII
