What the sigma, is she who I think she is then from the Vaporeon story?

Walter Sayers

I'll say it once and I'll say it again, Mandy needs a redemption arc, and I hope gamma will give her closure with everything

Cabanskyy

Honestly? At this point give her a mask, rifle, and tell her to rob First World Bank

BNWF1

Well. Maybe my suggestion as a family, may not be to far off. Idk, but after all this she definitely need someone.

Cold Stone Waffle

Damn, what could've been compared to what has happened type of scenario

Evertide 05

Part 1: Oh no...they did find her...and they used Dylan and Valerie as leverage. In fact, is that where she and Alex were eating earlier, and even what she was having? Part 2: ...There could already be a lot of symbolism here, whether They are present and only Mandy can see them or if she feels their presence. I already had a feeling They weren't all human. Now I definitely can't rule it out, especially after seeing a theory that some of them were Ghost-types. They made her betray and attack Valerie, probably after years when she didn't have to hurt anyone, and on one of the only friends she ever had. And despite Mandy dating the boy she loved, Valerie could see something was seriously wrong with her friend and wanted to be there for her. And Mandy forced her away and, quite likely, threatened her into silence and staying out of her life. And if the fact that Mandy neither has eyes nor a mouth is any indication, she lost part of herself that day. (Future edit: The blackness in panel 3 may be for artistic effect, but I think it also represents Mandy's worldview going from colorful, to monochrome, and now to much darker, and that she tried to block this memory but the image of hurting Valerie was burned into her mind forever.) Part 3: There it is. Mandy gave up everything she'd never had before, and everything she wanted, including what she wanted most. She broke the heart of the man she loved so that something worse didn't happen. And her heart, and her mind, finally broke too. And...They gave her the Mega Stone. Not Dylan. Part 4: But however long it took...They didn't get away with it. She let Number 4096 loose on them, and once she did, there was no going back. And now Vanessa sees Mandy for everything she has been and everything she is. I said when Vanessa started this little sequence that if there's only one single thing I would want to get an answer for, even if Mandy's own memories are unreliable and inconclusive: "Dylan.Β  I've seen (and shared myself) the comments, but will we see what happened in canon?Β  *Did* she do it?Β  *Did* she cheat on him?Β  And if there's any reason in addition to "she was an unlovable person," why would she do that?" I wasn't optimistic that They had located her and she forced him out of her life for his own safety in such a way that he would never want to come back...but I was wrong. After what a massive rebound the last part was compared to what came before, I would be kind of dreading this even if They weren't at the very end of part 53, because if Mandy and Valerie were good friends and there was indeed a fallout between them, now is the time for it to happen. And that wasn't all. She started to go back to being alone yet again.Β  Except now Mandy knew what it was like to not be alone, to have people who cared about her and who she cared about, to have a *life*, let alone a life worth living.Β  Then that life was destroyed right before her eyes, by her own forced hand. She really got the worst of both worlds in that way. The flower finally died. Was there a seed saved? Can *anything* grow again? Don't know...

Rocky Wolfknight

So in the end...she lost everything. EVERYTHING. And there is no way she can tell Dylan or Valerie the full truth or what happen or even know if they can be salvage and saved.... Is there any hope? Or will she likely die a tragic villain with the truth dying with her

Niko

This is some great lore we need the translation

RickDias

Oh jeez. Its hitting the fan. No wonder Val left on such poor terms. She didn't know. Damn.
