I said before that Vanessa now sees Mandy as everything she was, and everything she is. A child the world turned its back on, and from the sounds of things, she may have been abandoned or orphaned, but she wasn't a runaway: She lost people she loved long before she loved again. Number 4096, the subject who endured and escaped a nightmare she couldn't wake up from. A girl who, when given the chance to just have a life worth living, to have people worth living it with, and to just be Mandy, she did. An unknown protector of the people who gave her that life and that identity as someone they loved and who loved them enough that she'd be the monster she'd resisted becoming, so that they still had a chance to get on with their lives. Number 4096, project completed...but this time, They didn't get away with what they'd done to her or with threatening her loved ones, and it was by her hand. Now off the leash, the scheming, manipulative, violent psychopath she was made to be. And, as Vanessa said...a monster. Reading and seeing how ready Mandy was to die, and that she'd already wanted to before this...man... Mandy killed her monsters and ended up taking their place as a controlling, manipulative, violent monster herself.  One way or another, that cycle is being broken, even (at this point, more like *especially*) if Mandy's being broken too. The only questions I have are "how" and "will anything be left?" Wild-prediction-of-the-now: Vanessa spares her and tells her they're taking her in. Mandy charges a Shadow Ball. Vanessa goes for the kill. And Mandy aims her hand at herself. What next? Cliffhanger...

What scares isn't just the thought of Mandy having considered suicide, but the fact the shadowy figures might be off screen watching and Alex is trying to warn the girls and Mandy might just summon a black hole to take her and them (the shadowy figures) out. Remember a Gardevoir will go to the extremes to protect what they care about
