At best, I had figured Vanessa having a sudden and massive crisis of conscience. But it looks like her mind is made up. And if she did spare her, one reason I can think of her to give would be: Mandy tried to kill her and Alex, but saved another of her family members and her now-partner and Vanessa's possible in-law, so she's nowhere close to being off the hook, but it bought her another chance. Then there's Alex. He was dealing with Mandy since before Vanessa knew she was the problem. He was willing to give everything, including his life, to keep people he loves safe from her. He doesn't know what Vanessa knows but he still has plenty of a say in Mandy's fate. What if he and Vanessa disagree on what to do with her? As for Mandy, the flower's dead and gone, but it would be nice to see that a seed was saved, or that something better than this can grow in its place. I can't remember the last time I wanted someone to be saved this much and yet I was so constantly conflicted about feeling that way. Which, like, for all I ramble in the comments, part of me just has no words. I can't believe Gamma is pulling this off.

Can you imagine that last panel is Vanessa airing out how Rookie changed her life and how far she'd go to protect him? So much so that she would kill Mandy for even daring to steal him away? I'd personally love that. Puts a bow on everything this story has been. Gamma has done it with this comic!

I'm betting she saw about those memories, but flat out tells her in the last panel that it doesn't justify her actions. Vanessa likely going into detail how Alex changed her life and how he saved her from herself too, maybe even tell Mandy she still has a chance, but only her alone can change her outlook and future, and maybe one day, find someone who is like "Dylan" again who can heal her heart just like Alex did for her. Vanessa is probably giving her a second chance at life and hopefully making amends, but likely threatening her to leave Alex and her alone for good. Afterwards after they leave, I am going to bet it left mix feelings. Alex and Van hate her or dont forgive her, but deep down, after seeing the truth of her past and what really happen, hoping she will heal and find peace one day, and maybe someone like "Dylan" to help her love and trust again.
