This video comes out later than expected, so my apologies for the delay.
I had a deal with a Vancouver studio - but they flaked out and wasted a week of work.

All of this is largely a passion project borne out of intense autismal love for Starsector, since I've been playing it every update since 2016 or so. An amazing game, and a wonderfully talented community behind it.

I hope you enjoy!
Sincerely,
Sseth

Rangatang

Very good video again, and some high level autism. Perfect

Mr. Fotto

Always bringing the quality, good sir. No worries on the late delivery. The quality guarantee is all I need. Worth every shekel

Pax Paz

Only thing that is worth money on this site. Don't mind those Faggots asking money to"Save their kids from a severe disease "it's not my fault tht that child was ran over by a vehicle or was was bitten by a mosquito. If you didn't want such things to happen to you just respawn in the best city Jerusalem. I would pay money but I don't have money or a job or an education.

Matteo.YB

Whats the name of the outro?

Pax Paz

I am a rural peasant that somehow stumbled my way in patreon please forgive me Ogutu M'Beke.

Deltascourge

I'm curious, how do these companies generally respond when you give free alternatives in your video? Do you ask them beforehand? Or are they fine with it as the amount of people still buying it weighs out the negatives?

Madmannermachine

Perfect timing Sseth, I was looking for some kind of inspiration and this video popped up just at the right time. Keep making good videos and maybe I can actually pull something together (in like 10 years).

Thomas wynn

please do ck2 next m`lord

Do0my

links work no more

Brian Butenschoen

Have you considered reviewing any of the Fallout games?

Calipark

Love the video but the EQ on your voice was a little too bassy. Sounds like it got a little too much low pass filter or something.

Luke Jacobs

hey hey sseth, luke here. Make a ck2 video or i will steal the remaining foreskin you've struggled to hold onto.

Anonymous

Another fine addition here is a shekel good work.

Vincent Koh

Getting hype for that free cities review ;)

Minamoto Terumi

Sseth, you did find out that you can increase the amount of deployment points available in combat via a menu slider right? I spent so much time playing not knowing that feature existed.

rakp

hey hey sseth, people here - what do you think about a short review for Plague Inc: Evolved? You can literally spread your cancer in there

-

As always, Sseth, this content was truly wonderful. I know you tend to cover less popular games but with you having covered Fable I think a review of Metal Gear Solid 2 could potentially be fertile ground for some laughs. Just wondering if you've played/ever considered covering any of the series. Regardless of the comedy though, man, I wanna thank you. Your reviews have opened me up to checking out Heroes 3, Deus Ex. Emperor, Kenshi, STALKER, and now Starsector- all of which I've had a great time with and wouldn't have even given a glance if not for your channel. In a sea of channels covering whatever new AAA title came out that week for the #views, your content is genuinely funny and at the same time gives a fair overview of a game and can inform me if I'd like it before I purchase. Out of all the youtubers, you're the best of them. Keep stackin' shekels.

Déyone Hansel

I have watch many of your videos and am really glad to become apart of the guild Sseth. I have but one suggestion, a game called ChuLip on the PS2.

Nukesnipe

There's three games that I played the shit out of as a kid because that's what my dad had and I played whatever he had. Homeworld, Earth 2150 and Total Annihilation. Covering any of these would be fantastic. As for Earth 2150, there's a game before it and a game after it, but imo 2150 is the best in the series.

Bailey Bouchard

Have you played the Sunless Skies or Sunless Seas games? I think they're right up your alley.

Knallfrosch

Why wasn't Dungeon Keeper covered? Its a cult Classic.

ElSofaFuerte

Always nice to see one of my most favorite games getting supported. I even went as far as to make a slave commodity for slave trafficking just for myself.

Sseth

Oh it'll definitely get covered sooner or later damn good game

Sseth

hope you enjoyed it! Alex was pretty happy about the influx of players, I won't divulge too much but tl;dr "I won't have to get a job until 1.0 is finished and final stable copy is done" also that's really impressive - did you just add a new commodity to the markets?

Sseth

oh yeah! I never mentioned it though because new players really shouldn't fiddle with it, also since its java it is harder to animate sometimes you can use it to push your advantage if you're outnumbering them - or reduce the fight to 1 on 1 skirmishes almost and kill off their zerg advantage

Sseth

one day - ill think of a way to cover it as subtly as possible subtly enough that youtube doesn't even notice

Sseth

eyy I played that game a bunch back when it was a flash thingee ill see if i can cover it - usually I try grab a game with a lot of depth so I can fill the minutes, but i can review a bunch of small games in one go

Sseth

In this case, I gave like zero warning - but it sold like hot cakes and Alex (main dev) had a flood of traffic and sales, enough to comfortably finish the 1.0 release at least.

Sseth

no worries fam - the rice patties are bountiful this autumn

Sseth

here's the exact link to the outro: https://soundcloud.com/fastland/oh-happy-days and here's the song I snipped for the intro: https://soundcloud.com/fastland/zone-of-exclusion dude made a bunch of faction music for the game

Sseth

its high on the list be assured - just need a good time once i work through this backlog and get some breathing room

Sseth

hopefully site is functional again after the storm, I updated the links to the dev's cloudflare amazon hosting on both the video and on here

Sseth

I only hope to satisfy big man there should be less delays in the future once the entire business is comfortably operational also sorry for the delay in replying - literally lost 4 days on taxes and accountancy

Sseth

they're very highly requested and I played both fallout 1 and 2 New Vegas is on the list too to cover I might cover a very close spiritual successor to fallout 2 soon enough

Sseth

it will come brother be assured I need some comfy games in between all the galaxy brain autism projects

Sseth

thank you for the kind words! I try to maintain some level of quality - if it's not something I can rewatch several months later and think 'hey it doesn't suck ass' - then it won't be made I'll add MGS2 to the list for later to be fully honest I never played most of those or even playstation games in general, had no monies to burn back in the day

Sseth

I've seen footage and all I gathered was that you play a Japanese mailman who robs dumpsters for free food love it - i'll add it to the list!

Sseth

oh hell yeah - ill cover all of those in time, never had a chance to properly play Homeworld or Earth 2150 back in the day BUT I managed to get the bootleg fantasy version of Total Annihilation: Kingdoms. It's completely scuffed.

Sseth

I only saw the reviews but it looked quite nice! I'll keep them in the list for later ever heard of a 3D version called Diluvion? it was quite interesting - but as far as I know the development was completely dropped and the creators just ran out of public consciousness

Pax Paz

I'll do the same in 10 years maybe if he's still doing what he's doing.

Monsieur P.

Hello Sseth, I don't know if you'll have the time to see this message but let me say that you are an artist of a youtuber. I enjoyed every last one of your videos and keep waiting for them as an episode of my favorite Netflix series, your criticism of the games you review are funny as hell and your editing is wonderful, i've never laughed so much at a game review video before, sorry for my bad english but let me say that you are truly a wonderful man and wish you the best on your youtube career, i'm proud to be a part of the merchant guild have a good one kind sir. If i can suggest you a game would you review Stronghold ? I know that they are other people that made review out of it but i would love to see your point of view.

Sseth

thank you for your kind words! I appreciate it a lot - helps me keep going but i've definitely already got some of the stronghold games on the list, its just a matter of time before i cover them!

Ayden Dunmire

Have you played Darkwood? Its about haunted polish forests and is full of weird shit so it looks like it would be your cup of tea.

Juan Carlos Ruz Morales

Mate, I've been following you for a while and I love your stuff. Thing is, I had been playing Starsector for just a couple months when you released this and I found it especially hilarious. That made me come here immediately and become a patron. That, and another thing: you've reviewed your share of rogue-likes, which might be my favourite genre, and I would love to ask you for a specific review: Caves of Qud. I can't stop laughing when playing it so I'm sure I'll cry and piss my pants if you ever review it.

Nhoj

Hey Mbeke, did you stick a modlist anywhere of what was used in the video? I've been trying to figure out what that hammer ship and that suicide bomb ship were from, and I haven't seen them in the base game. Thanks.

Gonk

Hey Sseth, new patron. I really love your content, there hasn't been a single review that I've watched without laughing out loud(and I don't mean a hard exhale) at least once. I was wondering if there is a possibility of any Bethesda rpg's getting reviewed? Currently getting hit by a wave of nostalgia running through Oblivion and I feel like there is a wealth of content there for you to cover in those buggy messes.

Sseth

no defined mod list but if you go to modding forum there's a master index list of currently maintained mods for the hammer ship - Neutrino Corp for the 'suicide bomb ship' - its a planet killer missile launched from a capital class ship designed only to hold one of those payloads - it's from Interstellar Imperium Both of these work with Nexerelin. I really recommend it for more 4X gameplay.

Sseth

oh the possibility is there and its extremely high at least Oblivion will definitely get covered I played that for years back in the day, even modded a lot and saw all the insane stuff that goes on behind the scenes

Sseth

roguelikes are amazing - ill cover a couple of them sometime too already played caves of Qud! back a bit during earlier development, so I'll definitely cover it gotta love making money off selling boiling hot lava

Sseth

one day hopefully - I got it on the list from a while back many people think of Darkwood as a horror game, but its actually a documentary on rural Polish real estate management - you forage for berries - evade rabid dogs and steal gasoline to fuel your illegal off-grid alcohol distillery and hide at night while government workers come and break down your doors

Adam Reith

This was a fantastic video and inspired me to pick up the game (again, I had actually already bought it as starfarer many years ago) and have a blast. Fantastic work as always!

cow

seth be my dad

KevinSorbo

New Patron here! Ofcourse there are lateral intentions to my signing up here and patreoning. And that is suggestion to review classics like Hidden and Dangerous 2... or Conflict: Vietnam... Did you play any of these by chance or do you have them on your Schindler's list?

Sseth

I'm not ready for fatherhood Drew. Let alone surrogate fatherhood.

Sseth

ill add them to the list! I did play hidden and dangerous once upon a time, good game and don't worry about the ulterior motives, that's what i'm here for

Tastyhaggis

Finally my money can go towards something worthwhile. Something bold. Video shitposting!

jtomb

Hey seth big fan of yours! You made me get Kenshi and omg i love it so much! I hope you keep getting more fans man! I have a random suggestion if you are up for it. Now I am not sure if you like any playstation 2 games or not, but 2 games that I highly suggest are sphinx and the cursed mummy, or Dragon quarter Breath of fire. If you don't do any console games then how about The surge?

Starfarmer

Hey Sseth, do you ever plan to cover Oblivion?

Gyafufuu

Great video one of the Open sandbox games I've never played glad you gave us a link so I can support the developer. Also if you were to ever check out Lobotomy corporation it would be great.

Scooter Sasha

Hey hey Sseth, people here. A warm thank you for giving an arming space jihad fetish. Also, the Heroes of Might and Magic 3 reunited me with one of my childhood classic. You basically gave me back my father

Sseth

thanks fam Oh I have checked out lobotomy corp - I just didn't manage to put a script together yet, since that game is deceptively hard (since the ramp up in difficulty is sudden and insane)

Sseth

I've finished it all the way - but I need to think of a way to present it to people so I focus on the good parts of it and not the insane hellgrind that is core suppressions and days 46-50

Sseth

anytime! also I can relate to the HoMM3 thing - played it since forever, and I still remember playing the demo as a kid repeatedly

Gonk

"oh the possibility is there and its extremely high at least Oblivion will definitely get covered I played that for years back in the day, even modded a lot and saw all the insane stuff that goes on behind the scenes" I asked the same question

Didalvez Tiraupigeon

The fact that this game runs on linux, and somehow does so better than the animated powerpoint of Cultist Simulator on the overheating paperweight of a laptop I use, is alone deserving of my money. It's almost as much of a surprise as the fact you're actually active in this comment section, or on the septic tank that is the guild's discord. Props for that buddha patience, honestly, a little bit of being personable goes a long way. This is perhaps your most, shall we say professional review yet, and the background audio mixing is particularly enjoyable. Big props for that, too. Also, this game is another huge timesink, especially with pimp my ride aspect that's as out of control as JA2 1.13's armory. How do you find the time to play those huge games AND make videos AND hold a job?

Sseth

The easy and unexciting answer to that is that I make it the full time. I let go of the fear long ago that this isn't a stable or reasonable path to take, but reason and rationale can only take us so far. Plus, I'm almost incapable of spending - living humbly is better than dying in excess.

Sseth

Thank you for the kind words! And i'm genuinely sorry I couldn't answer sooner than this. I'll try work and talk with people whenever I can. In the end - doing what you love ceases to feel like labor. If it all leads to ruin? Then hey at least it was fun along the way.

Shrewdberry

I've been a fan for quite some time! Thanks for doing what you do! Is there a possibility we'll get a Thief franchise review?

SmokerSasha

A decided to trust you, bought the game, started it - 2h later i found an Legion-Carrier Hull and Blueprints worth over 1`000`000 Creds in one System with the starting Fleet. And now i found a new game that will make me lose hundreds of hours... Thanks a lot Sseth (it even made me sub here!) I am overenjoyed that i found your channel. May Satan treat you well

Sseth

i'm glad you found the craziest goddamn haul so quickly jesus enjoy yourself big man remember that selling high-end blueprints to the pirate black market might result in interesting results

Sseth

absolutely! thief has been suggested a lot, and i've managed to play the first 3 to bits besides it gives me a reason to hear pagan dialogue all over again

Sseth

the merchant's grasp grows and expands further east I hope you're well in S. Korea - my parents worked there some time and they told me how amazing the people were

Sseth

i'm adding all of these to the list - sorry for responding so late fam thank you for the suggestions! also console games are definitely okay since i can actually afford the consoles i never could as a kid/teenager/universitystudenter

Sseth

welcome to the premier shitposting zeitgeist of the 21st century - I'm only here to keep you happily sedated and entertained

emil-dart

The game is marvellous, reminds me about similar Slavic game i played in my childhood - Space Rangers 2. It is less dramatic than Starsector plotwise and has more positive flow with some Slavic (of course) hues. This game came to live much earlier- in 2004 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/214730/Space_Rangers_HD_A_War_Apart - this is a HD release) - and this game rocks!

Sseth

I think my blood brother mandalore covered this expertly well already, but hey - maybe one day I can run through it! (and have a micro-aneurysm at the RTS portions with their brilliant pathfinding/AI)

JEPZ

very cool
