Alright, alright, alright, Addie! Let's get Dazed and Confused (1993). Happy Thursday. I'm so glad that you watched this movie and now I wanna do so on Saturday night. See you tomorrow for your April Q&A. BTW, Milla Jovovich's last name is actually pronounced "YOH-və-vitch."

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 So happy that you watched this one. It's been awhile since I've seen it, but I pretty much remember most of this movie. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. For more Matthew McConaughey, I very highly recommend "A Time to Kill" from 1996. Have a great day today! 😊

Ooh, two movie days in a row, nice! 👍 I figured we’d just get the Q&A tomorrow and that’d be it. 🙂

I second A Time to Kill (1996). That's one of the Joel Schumacher movies that I've been suggesting to Addie, ever since she watched Batman Forever (1995) recently. #ATimeToKillForAddieCounts And speaking of Ben Affleck, I also suggest School Ties (1992), Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997), Phantoms (1998), Shakespeare in Love (1998), Dogma (1999), Reindeer Games (2000), Pearl Harbor (2001), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), Changing Lanes (2002), The Sun of All Fears (2002), Daredevil Director's Cut (2003), Gigli (2003), Paycheck (2003), Jersey Girl (2004), Smokin' Aces (2006), The Town (2010), Argo (2012), Runner Runner (2013), Gone Girl (2014), The Accountant (2016), Live by Night (2016), The Last Duel (2021), Deep Water (2022), Air (2023), Hypnotic (2023), and The Accountant 2 (2025). #MoreBenAffleckForAddieCounts

Well, now you need to see the film that more or less inspired this one: George Lucas' "American Graffiti." It's basically the same concept except that it takes place during the *last* day of summer break -- and in the early '60s. I'd also highly recommend Richard Linklater's eventual companion piece to this film: "Everybody Wants Some!!" from 2016. You've also previously seen Adam Goldberg (Newhouse) in "Saving Private Ryan" and Cole Hauser (Benny O'Donnell) in "Good Will Hunting." Also, I'l just add that Nicky Katt (Clint Bruno) took his own life within the last 2 weeks. R.I.P. 😢

another good movie at the same time with High school antics was Stoned Age

dazed and empire records being movies I watched on vhs the morning after my older sister's slumber parties where they'd rented them when I was like 11/12 definitely made me think rory cochrane was a bigger star than he ever became.

Martha Washington was a hip, hip lady.

The freshmen have committed the crime of being a freshman.

Luis Fernandez

This is on my short list for favorite soundtrack of all time. We played the heck out of this when it first came out. And Parker Posey is a gift to humanity.

This one is good, albeit just a little slow at times. It’s certainly a little unusual in that it’s more like a scrap book showing a slice of life at a moment in time for a small town rather than having any really exciting dramatic arcs going on. The characters just kind of go about their lives for a night, we get a good sense of who all these kids are, and we get to share some amusing little stories they probably share with each other down the road. In that sense it’s probably one of the best films I’ve seen where “nothing of consequence actually happens”. So 8 out of 10 for me, very good movie. And the soundtrack is awesome, that definitely helped! 😄
