The Inedible Mattman!

I really liked your reaction to this. In case you didn't know, in the comics ... Gwen was Peter's first real love. But she HATED spiderman because she thought spiderman killed her father (Captain Stacy). In the comics, Gwen never knew about Peter being spiderman. Then, after a brief hiatus (they were on a break!) she needed to speak urgently to Peter. But when he arrived at her apartment, the Green Goblin had kidnapped her and taken her to the GW Bridge. Spiderman shows up, but she is passed out on the top of the bridge. The goblin and spiderman fight, and the goblin tosses her over the side of the bridge. If you look closely at the panels, when Peter throws out his webs and grabs her to stop her from falling, you can see the word "snap" next to her neck. It's implied that Peter killed her without realizing what he had done. Of course, Peter blames the Goblin and in the same scene from the Tobey McGuire films, the two fight in a warehouse and the Goblin impales himself on his own glider. It's one of the saddest moments in comics. We, the reader, realize what Peter did, but he never figured it out. Not until years later (like 20 years of published comics) when a ressurrected Goblin hijacks a TV station and broadcasts to everyone about that night, and reveals what Peter had done. This, more than anything, breaks Peter apart. This movie is bittersweet, and I'm so glad you got a chance to watch it with us. Thank you for your reaction!

Please please please, before you watch the Tom Holland Spiderman, watch "Into the spiderverse first. The animated one. It is so good. In my opinion better then the Disney Spiderman movies
