Question: I just finished watching this and you mentioned your podcast. Is there a way you can share an RSS feed of it? I hate listening to podcasts on spotify and they won't let me even search the thing on my podcast app. Some researching lead me to find that creators can share their RSS feeds to make it work but we cant do that from the outside. Sorry, I just really wanna listen now that I know about it!

Hey, wonderful video as always, and I apologize for this essay but I'm going to be completely unhinged for a little bit and I'm going to defend the old walking sims. First, I actually think it was really cool when Dear Esther went from a Source mod ( https://www.moddb.com/mods/dear-esther/downloads ) to an actual game ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/520720/Dear_Esther_Landmark_Edition/ ). The developers who made Dear Esther also made Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. And now they are making Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 (this will make sense later... sort of). The walking sim always was the first step in pushing what could be done and who could do it. But I don't think these older games are stale. Some of the deep cuts like Thirty Flights of Loving are still pretty fresh ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/214700/Thirty_Flights_of_Loving/ ). And Blendo Games ( https://blendogames.com/ ) has kept a unique style and is still going. Also Radiator Yang (https://www.blog.radiator.debacle.us/) started doing his Level With Me let's plays (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaYewMW3GIxuNy56_88fWUzUFb3lhHyq6) eventually talking about the walking simulator style games... but also older games. And he's also released Quake maps. What I'm saying is the boomer shooters and walking sims are made by the same (or similar) crowd of people. The walking sims were going (and have since gone) places. I think the old walking sim deserves another chance. These games are a part of a developers catalog and cater to an audience and a part of a historical context. I think there is more in them than just old versions of newer games. P.S. You can just watch Revolutionary Girl Utena. Nozomi just has the whole thing posted on their official youtube channel. I literally tell everyone this when it is the least bit appropriate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdWr5YCoRGM&list=PLrrh84y760v9xDNuOiG6x1DsCG70LVQi7
