I'm so glad you guys watched this! Probably one of my new favorite movies. There's honestly so much love and care that Ryan Coogler put into this. Like the different outfits for Smoke and Stack with Smoke wearing a blue flatcap and tweed suit to represent the Irish mob and Stack wearing a red fedora and pinstripe suit represent the Italian mob, while it also showcases their different personalities. The inclusion of Bo and Grace Chow to represent the history of Chinese immigrants in the south. I do wish we got more on the Choctaw people though. One thing I didn't know as you were mentioning about with why the choice of Remmick being an Irish vampire was the reason being because of the parallels between the experiences of the Irish and black people and they've been oppressed, which was interesting to learn for me after I watched this the first time. But yeah there's so much to love about this movie and I so hope this gets the awards that it absolutely deserves. Also this makes me hope that Ryan does something for DC. Like I wouldn't mind him directing a Justice League Dark movie
