This episode is so awesome, but I have a problem with this one: the Invincible show, unlike the comics, rigorously cut out other superhero teams. Cape Inc, Wolfman and Brit being the most important ones. I found it strange to see them all here now. I was expecting Cecil's robots to have a bigger role because of this. But the most important thing the episode did: Tech Jacket is here! Season 4 is going to be exciting with him! :D And Business Baby survived, according to the latest interview with Kirkman! I hope we get more of him and his relationship with Big Mildew (green giant) at some point. They were in Season 1 too.

Yes, you're right Lola, that in Season 2 when the Guardians fought the Lizard League and Rex, Rae and Kate died, the show brought all 3 back. That event and Invincible War are among the two events before season 4 to replace the weak superheroes with stronger ones because yeah, the Viltrumites are coming. Bulletproof is one of the stronger ones that got already added, others will come soon. Cecil is already trying to fill the empty space with Mark :D In the comics Rae, Rex and Darkwing 2 died, Kate and Immortal retire. But the show let Rae survive the Lizard League event, which is why I already started to ship Rex and Rae in Season 2, simply because that was the logical progression for me of what Kirkman is planning with her character for Season 3. And she will probably play an even bigger role in the future in other story arcs, especially one, if I predict right.

One of the biggest mistakes the writers made in my opinion. Rex is easily one of the more interesting characters of this show for me, with the highest potential in regards to where his story could go, and while I’m not opposed to him EVENTUALLY sacrificing himself to save the world, it was just too soon for him to do so in the story in my opinion. He still had so much more story left for me. Rex and Rae also easily became my favorite couple of the show because of how natural their progression felt and while I will mourn Rex and his potential I also now have to mourn their potential as well.

The thing is, if they had left Rex in the story longer, we should have seen his character develop in a whole new direction again, where he builds a life outside of being a superhero. However, his character is the tragic superhero who never had a personal life. It would change a lot again if they kept him alive, which wouldn't have been a bad thing. But to be honest, there's no time for that. The next 4-5 seasons will really pick up the pacing, because we still have a lot of open storylines that will be continued with new ones being added. The Viltrumites, Scott/Powerplex, Angstrom, Technicians, Flaxans, Sequids, the criminal organisation The Order, Mr. Liu and Titan, and then also show original stories like Rae, the return of Darkblood and no idea what else happens with the mummy :D In general, the show is just damn good at keeping so many rather complex storylines running in parallel while larger story arcs set character dynamics.

To be honest: Almost all comic readers pronounced Levy like in Levi Ackermann. Everyone was confused when the show proounced it differntly :D
