Two things I thought was a nice tie in. Jet learned to let go of the past (in that episode where he threw away the pocket watch into the ocean), that's why now he speaks with experience telling Spike to let go. Jet learned to let go of the past but will Spike? Second thing is in the jupiter jazz episode, when Spike went to chase after Julia he had an argument with Jet. This time, Jet decides to give Spike a send off instead telling he to find what he lost.
