now the journey of Tenma have started it and I'm so excited for the next episodes! Eva is such a great character, you will seer her a lot. (btw for the manga reader's is it me or Eva looks prettier in the manga than in the anime?)

I think the first 8 episodes of the anime are a introduction to what Monster's story will be about and get us to know who are the characters we will be following. From the next episode onwards is where I would say the journey really begins.

Hi girls, Next episode is one of those "filler" episodes that some people who have watched this anime complain about. Which is why I need to point out that THERE ARE NO FILLER EPISODES IN MONSTER. Every character and storyline presented in these episodes embodies in one way or another the central theme of the show, which is the struggle between good and evil within each person. Though you will probably realize all of this by yourselves, I still feel the need to point out that there is no actual filler in the show if you mind it's themes.

The prologue is over. And what an introduction to the story. The character Eva is also very interesting. You could say she's vicious, but in my opinion she was simply a victim of her father's upbringing. She is desperate for true feelings.

I actually LOVE next episode. I think majority of people who said they love Monster they also enjoy these kinds of episodes.

That is the unrealistic part that's funny. Dr. Tenma is probably 1 of 30 Japanese males in their 40s in West Germany. Germans are notorious snitches he wouldn't last a day, you can't last a day in Germany for non-criminal offenses that lead to a 40€ fine.
