Loved your reactions. It was such a beautiful episode. I was crying the whole time too. I’m so relieved that they were able to talk and Joel was finally honest with Ellie so they could at least leave things on hopeful terms.

Also I am curious as to what comes after this season in regards to your reactions, I'm assuming The Bear but I don't want to be presumptuous or maybe another poll with shorter shows on it.

They made pretty bold narrative changes in the show and I am not sure how it all will pan out later but I am open for anything. And tbh I would want story to be a bit different from games, because if it is exact copy of the game I probably would not have watched it. It is same with manga and animes for me. If I have read manga, then I would anime to improvise on story rather than it being exact copy of manga plotline. I would want Voice actors, screen writers, animators, musicians to add their own touch to a story, give their own artistic expression and enhance experience that manga offered. However there are many manga purists and fan of the last of us games who are not fond of the changes to adaptation. of course people who have played the game cannot discuss all of that with show onlies at this moment. But i am really looking forward the next season and your reactions to it.

I don't see any bold narrative changes personally. It's pretty toned down since the beginning when they introduced us Abby in the first scene. What was bold was to kill Joel off without giving us any reasons. But they decided to spill eveything to us here so eveything is toned down. Even Ellie's character is. I agree with you that people who work to make an adapdation should add their own touch to the story. I don't mind the changes when it is made with heart, with actual consideration to the source material. And it's not like the game is perfect to begin with y'know they could have done certain things better but they did not. This season just felt rushed with bad writing on top of that.

Rebelde literally did successful world tours, is known all over the world. It was really something very big in the 2000s and not only in Mexico, here in Brazil it was part of the lives of an entire generation too
