Aglio Olio

thank you so much for the double drop !!

The discussion about this episode was incredibly good. What is Johan's plan? Why is he doing it? Before, he killed his foster parents. He killed all people who helped him. He completely isolated General Wolf, who found him and his sister at the Czech border, and took away his identity. He completely destroyed the criminal organization he had built up and killed (almost, since Tenma was able to save one in episode 24) all the members who had anything to do with him. What is he trying to achieve now? I'm really curious to hear what you think about Johan after the next three episodes. This whole story arc will be special.

I know it's an unpopular opinion but I have to insist that you take it slowly with this arc, though this comment may arrive a little too late.

So happy about the double drop. Thank you! Just wanna say that this arc is absolutely incredible for the dive into Johan's character, and its really only the beginning. When you were told to watch 25-74 they werent lying. Like you guys, i was completely unsure how to process that scene where Johan was crying since there are so many possibilities. You have to ask yourself, can a Monster have empathy? We know IRL that Psychopaths DO in fact have the ability to empathize, just on a much smaller/more restricted scale than others. You're forced to ask yourself if a good deed done by a presumably horrible person should be invalid. When does manipulation go too far? If you were a candidate for promotion at your job and did something heartfelt for your Boss who was struggling with a personal problem could that not be seen as manipulation? Or does it only matter when the intent is clear to everyone? This show raises so many interesting questions! Excited for yall to see more!

I can read a bit of Latin, and the underlined text absolutely did not say “I can’t go on pretending” It said something to the effect of “and he confirmed that they would not defect from the friendship of the Roman people”

You seem to have a lot of the background on this story . Any idea who schuvald was based on in particular? I have theories but nothing informed

Floweyyyy

I love this arc, and Richard (the private detective) is a good character.
