The first 37 episodes told us so much about Johan and Nina after they crossed the Czech-German border that there is already a written-down script that Dr. Gillen and Dr. Reichwein use to tell others. This episode finally kicks off the second half of Monster. What went down in Czechoslovakia? Where did the twins come from?

In the letter, she was just stating what she hopes happened to her friend. She didn't know for sure, since they got separated. She was just hopefully assuming her friend was living happily with her twins.

Johan was in the Kinderheim orphanage before Tenma saved him, remember Wolf was the one who found the twins at the border

You guys are so harsh on Lunge lol, he is indeed very smart. Basically ALL the evidence is pointing towards Tenma because as we know Johan is facilitating all of it. Its really a testimate to just how much smarter Johan is than even the best detective in the force. No reason to chase an invisible man when Tenma is right in front of him (being at all the crime scenes, witness testimonies saying he becomes a different person when using a scalpal, basically having a motive, opportunity, and the means). Of which Tenma is the only one who fits all criteria for. All other outsiders saying Tenma is innocent have no proof behind them, only the statement itself. Tenma wouldnt even last a day in court before being "proven" guilty with all the evidence leading straight to him.

I forgot how good this episode is. The ending with curtain literally coming down on 'Johan's show' is perfect imo.

i wonder if netflix's translations are the proper ones? on netflix johan says "the other me" and not "my other half" when referring to nina and i feel like that's a significant difference.
