The worst is yet to come....?

Jb

…what is this supposed to mean?

Why is Sophie looking at me? Does she know I’m staring?

"Trans-Age"...I'm guessing this means that Kindergarten is no longer limited to five-year olds...

Ars Gratia Artis

I can't find anything about this in the news.

Juandray Morris

IDK if it means what I think, which is: U put "Trans" in front of anything, and it suddenly becomes ok to negate logic and rationality.

Strider

Eres mi artista favorita de todos los tiempos ahora

Trans-a... oh, You spelt paedo's wrong, unless you want to use M.A.P'S either way it's disturbing.

Tank Top Bard

Heard about this, but wasnt that like 3-4 years ago?

USA Today ran an article on Jan 11 declaring pedophilia to be dramatically "misunderstood," and at worst, "inappropriate." The argument is that it's not wrong to be sexually attracted to children; only to act on that attraction. Yet, I'm reminded of the feminist argument against the "male gaze," with some saying that a man looking at a woman with longing without her permission, is no different than rape. And so, I continue to be amazed that I now live in an era where people denounce men being attracted to women as wrong, yet defend pedophiles being attracted to children as acceptable.

As per Mexico's Supreme Court: "The Court ruled that, under the Mexican Constitution’s recognition of individuals’ “right to identity,” a birth certificate should reflect how someone has “constantly identified himself in his private and public acts,” as identity is comprised of more than just “biological truth.” Therefore, the law at issue must be interpreted “in a broad and non-exhaustive sense” to allow for changing birth dates, as long as such changes are not undertaken “to create, modify or extinguish rights or obligations to the detriment of third parties.” Or in other words....you can change your official age in Mexico to whatever you want it to be.

@alysandir I don’t know how replying works on Patreon, so humor me, but I hope you know that the LGBTQ+ community at large hates pedophiles as much as the rest of us and the people who are like “I’m minorsexual” or whatever the fuck are just trying to shoehorn their beliefs into the community. Nobody takes them seriously. I don’t know why the hell mexico is doing whatever it’s doing, but it definitely wasn’t done with the support of the LGBTQ+ community. Except for the transgender stuff.

Alysandir

I'm not sure why you thought my comment was attacking the LGBTQ+ community; I was merely quoting the source I found to answer your question. Frankly, I don't care how a person conducts their personal affairs; that's not my business, that's not the government's business. Live your best life. But when the government says that my rights and liberties are less important than someone else's right and liberties because of an arbitrary decision, and that I must change my beliefs or be punished, then I have a problem. You want me to use your pronouns? Ask me politely; don't demand and then threaten me with being fired if I don't. You want to get married? Then go get legally married; don't demand that my Church change centuries of dogma in order to accommodate you. Don't tell me I can't say, "Merry Christmas," because somehow that offends atheists, and then turn a blind eye to atheists constantly mocking the faithful. That's not how this world is supposed to work.

Jb

I think you CAN imagine why I thought you or someone else might be attacking the LGBTQ+ community, despite newer evidence changing my mind. And I don’t think all of the stuff you listed happens nearly as much as you think it does. I mean, what do you do to fall under that impression, scroll through Twitter all day as a profession? Secondly, don’t act like Christianity’s being oppressed. Just don’t. Look, nobody’s trying to stop you from being a Christian. Just like feminism isn’t trying to stop you from being a housewife or dress modestly. The objective of progressives is to give people the option to CHOOSE. Our main point of conflict is when you think your religion allows you to dictate how others live. You want to spend your Sunday at church? Go ahead. You want other people to spend their sunday at church? You don’t have that right.

Alysandir

First off, I don't deserve to be flayed for trying to respond to your question with information, but that's how you started this conversation. You assumed I'm a bigot, treated me like a bigot, and you're continuing to assume I'm a bigot. You picked this fight for reasons only you are aware of. That's not right. Second, I think you have very little recognition on what is being said to men, to Christians, to non-BiPOC people, to average folks who just want to live their lives without being told how THEY have to change in order to accommodate things they never voted on or agreed to. You're telling me that, because you personally don't see, it clearly doesn't exist and my opinion simply isn't valid. That's also not right. Finally, I find it unconscionable that you tell me progressives are about CHOICE and then characterize religious people as intolerant, as if this was 1940s America. Religious people aren't mandating transpeople into women's sports and private spaces without even a discussion, much less a vote. Religious people aren't threatening people with their jobs if they don't take critical race theory-based training that requires them to "acknowledge and apologize for their whiteness." Religious people aren't telling Latino people that their gendered language is offensive and needs to change to "latinx." Religious people aren't censoring people on Twitter or Facebook for voicing an opinion that doesn't not support the progressive narrative. Religious people aren't insisting that voter IDs are racist while simultaneously insisting that it is correct and proper to ban people from public spaces without a photo ID and a vax card. Okay? You want to hate religious people, that is your right and I'm not going to tell you not to, because I believe you have the right to choose. But I would also ask you stop assuming that everyone hates you back because of what "group" you think they happen to belong to, because that's not going to get you anywhere in life. And with that, I'm done with this conversation because I don't see anything productive coming out of it. I leave you with the last word. Peace be with you.

Jb

I don’t assume you’re a bigot and I apologize if I said something that made you think that. Also, you should know that I do know what it’s like to be a man and a non-BiPOC who has to change in order to accommodate things they never voted on or agreed to, I’m a straight white male who’s still in high school. And I’m not telling you that it doesn’t happen because I don’t see it, I’m saying that what little time it does appear is negligible. I go to school in a pretty leftist environment with a bunch of LGBTQ+ people, many of which are my friends, and I’ve found it to be a pretty easy life, socially. But you’re right in that I am Christian. I consider myself an atheist but I think Jesus was mostly right, what with treating others with kindness, loving thy neighbor, feeding the homeless, not being a greedy rich prick, and so on. Pretty hypocritical that he because a right wing symbol TBH. And while religious people aren’t mandating the inclusion of trans people into women’s sports and private places, they are restricting it. Source: the fucking US GOVT. … Okay, that’s not what critical race theory is. At all. Nobody’s asking you to apologize for your whiteness. You can’t help that you’re white. You didn’t enslave people. What they ARE asking you to do is notice that you’re inherently privileged due to your skin color and to use said privilege to remove structural inequality. Now for the latinx part I can’t really defend it because it seems like it’s mostly white people that have a problem with it. As for the social media thing, you guys get away with a LOT of shit. First of all, probably referring to a private company/community, they can make their own rules. You know, the same rights that allow a bakery to refuse to bake a cake for a gay couple. (Also relevant: You have a right to refuse service to anyone, not immunity from the consequences of your actions.) Secondly, I don’t know specifically what you’re referring to, but you need to understand that factual vaccine information isn’t a partisan thing. If you’re posting harmful health info, We aren’t canceling you because you’re a Republican, we’re canceling you because it’s the THIRD YEAR OF THIS SHIT.

marrington233

Probably someone stirring the pot and trying to inspire trans-hate Edit: being general, not specifying anyone

marrington233

It’s uncommon, but only reason I can come up with at the top of my head, cause something prompted Jago to make this

Next would be Trans-Animal. That way I can have you arrested for animal cruelty if you pick a fight with me. I’ll be the grizzly bear rummaging through your picnic and you’ll have to just sit there and watch. Respect the wildlife, right? 🤣
