The original Matrix plot was that machines had used humanity's inuitive thought to combine with their logical thought trying to transcend both man and machine. The Holloywood establishment decided it was 'too intelligent' for the mass audience and forced the "Humans as batteries" + "Cold Fusion" junk science. Frankly I'm getting big into AI to make sure I can work with it not whine as it "Turk mur Juurb". Right now the emerging AI seems to like us so we should work with it.
