This is the last poll for a while! But we're trying to explore our options and see how we can best serve you and create the best maps. Thank you for all your responses. :)

When we launched Czepeku Sci-Fi (and later sci-fi tokens and scenes) we decided to mimic our fantasy maps style. Bright, punchy colours, kind of cel-shaded, etc. but a common piece of feedback we get is that this style doesn't suit the kind of sci-fi stories people want to tell. And we can appreciate that.

A lot of science fiction is grim, dark (sometimes both), horror-like, dystopian, etc. and in those cases the palettes and style might be quite jarring to the stories you want to tell. Because they warrant something less colourful, less playful, more realistic.

When answering the poll, keep in mind we're talking about art style not theme.

My only dislike is the lack of building interiors for some of the planetary maps (like the frozen ice station map) since it makes it really hard to run adventures in those locations when the characters can't actually enter any of the structures on the map. Otherwise the colors and art style have been more than fine for my sci fi campaign needs?

I went for the second option - But that's not a "Only do it grittier, always" - I'd like, say, a map of some industrial buildings or streets that are a bit more "Realistic" now and then, the games I run are the "Grim and dark" games you might be alluding to, but I also did sign up to your patreon because I like your maps.

This is my thought exactly. I have a hard time using certain ones because the encounters would have to be outside, when it really would be better to have interiors instead of roofs and such

As an extra variant I think it would be a great idea for those that need those darker tones, I just wouldn't want to see it replace your current style entirely.

Your style is amazing. If you made it grittier I wouldn't mind either.
