im still sad the orochi fruit went to orochi, that fruit could have been one of the best fruits, not that zoro needs it but just imagine how unkillable he is with the fruit or someone with better capabilities to creatively use the fruit.

Artemis

At least it can go to a better user now that orochi is dead

As a manga chapter reader i didn't bother watching the whole anime when onigashima finished i was only watching some important cutscene but now rewatching the whole arc with alicia i can say i definitely missed out, the ending was so well done, with symbolism the choice of scenes and the insane animation level. Everything was fantastic. Emotions were surely here. The depiction of orochi evilness in those last scenes is diabolical

I think Kaido's philosophy on strength is fascinating. He has one of the single most overwhelmingly powerful Devil Fruits, and yet he says that Devil Fruits will never stand up to the strength that Haki can offer. He even has perfect examples of this - Gol D. Roger never had a Devil Fruit, nor does his fellow Yonko Shanks, or his rival Oden. And yet both of those people were able to rise to stand near or at the very peak of the world. But I think Alicia is right when she points out that it has less to do with the method of power, and more to do with the person who holds it. Gol D. Roger was consistently portrayed as an inherently special individual who was destined for great things - a portrayal that also seems to frequently apply to Luffy.

“The drums of liberation!!!” Maam those are string instruments Also luffy ain’t give alabasta a thing

She’s right to a point but it falls short also because in the end he is saying it’s all about will power which is the base of haki. Kaido just talks in the language of strength and a fight cause it’s all he’s ever counted on and knows.
