I don't THINK he got captured on purpose to get information like the 2025 movie, but if he did, he actually sold it surprisingly well and it serves a pretty similar narritive purpose

Supes starting to turn that around just kinda shows how potentially terrifying he is. Canonically, if he really meant it, basically nothing in the universe would be strong enough to stop him. He's even muscled through his own weaknesses.

Damn was not expecting Vicki Vale this early on. Was expecting some Gotham references but Batman characters this early on is wild. I mean I know we got slade (deathstroke) but he’s so different from the usually Slade that I don’t count it. Plus he’s more of a teen titans and nightwing villain that bats

The argument that we people like Superman are so dangerous because they can't be stopped, might sound valid at first, but thinking about it, we already have real life people who are just as powerful and we do nothing about them either.
