24:22 idk if ALicia remembers that it was told in deressrosa arc that op op fruit have this one special use, for the cost of the user life the user can give perpetual youth to someone and make them stop aging and making essentially immortal. This is no spoilers as this already been told. but the moment Imu started talking about 800 year ago, I was like has op op fruit been used i him, he talking he was there.

There was a bit of wording that Alicia seems to have missed/forgot by the time she started pondering about why Imu would only use the weapon now. Mainly mentioning of mother flame and testing out the weapon on Lulusia. It's enough to make a good guess on why they'd only use it now, although I think it's also going to be mentioned soon.

I disagree. I don't think we need to powerscale more. Luffy said Gear 5 is his peak. He said he can now do everything he wants to do. In fact a lot of people disliked Gear 5 at first, because they felt like it was a chosen one trope and Luffy was being given a cheat code that invalidated his hard work and effort. But that's not Oda's style. Luffy's final challenge will not involve upgrading his powers again. They will involve his individual will and determination pushing the powers to their utmost limits to win. When Luffy beat Buggy, Kuro, Krieg, Arlong, Crocodile, or Enel, it wasn't by using new powers. It was by finding new creative ways to use his existing powers and having the will to keep up with the fight until he reached that point. In fact, I highly suspect, that in his final fight, Gear 5 will be taken away from Luffy, and he will have to finish it on his own without Nika's power. If I had to guess, Luffy will need to use Gear 5 to fullest extent to beat Imu, and the final battle will be against Blackbeard (maybe after taking Imu's power), who will use the darkness to take away Luffy's power. Then it will be Luffy equipped with nothing but haki and his willpower against Blackbeard with all his powers. I imagine something along the lines of Blackbeard trying to do to Luffy what he did to Whitebeard. Wait for him to beat Imu, and then try to jump him, but Strawhats step and and take on Blackbeard's crew and Luffy has to face Blackbeard. That's what I'm picturing for the final battle.

Koby's decision-making here will never stop pissing me off. What do you MEAN you decided to prioritise helping a citizen of Beehive Island (i.e., a de-facto member of goddamn Blackbeard's fleet) over helping your literal comrades fight a powerful enemy or escaping? What do you MEAN you fell for the most obvious trap known to mankind, leading to your strongest fighter getting seriously injured while trying to protect your dumb ass from getting killed? Were you actually born yesterday? Did you suffer severe brain damage when you were captured? Garp should have never came, Koby's not worth his time to rescue. Send someone less valuable to save an idiot like that.

Alicia's theory about the limits of Luffy's powers is interesting... but is mostly not going to happen. Luffy already stated during his awakening that Gear 5 is the Peak of his power, a power that let's him fight with complete freedom (even Oda has stated so), if there was another stage beyond Gear 5.... it would lessen the impact Gear 5 itself is meant to have for both the story, Luffy's character and Oda's creativity. Luffy doesn't need to power-scale further to be able to fight against Imu, my guess is that he just needs to go back to strategizing and figure out his enemy's weakness... which would be cool.... because right now.... Luffy is already off-the-scale in terms of power. It would be really cool if... for the Top Dogs of the World Goverment he had to defeat them by other means that are not just Brute Strengh.

the creator line really makes me think" Imu" being "Umi" reversed is important, even if in the kanji(?) the reversal doesnt quite work out like that

About Imu, They refer to themself as "Mu" in Japanese, which I've heard to be the equivalent of refering to yourself in the second person, so take what you can from that.
