This is another movie that I thought was just alright when it first came out, but have since come to really enjoy. Will Ferrel doing a Marlon Brando Jor-El impression was unexpected and brilliant and has to be one of the greatest parts of the movie.

I never noticed that most of Megaminds inventions early on used his binky as, I assume, their power source. 15 years I've seen this movie several times and I didn't notice till watching a vtuber and her friend react to it. Kinda funny the things you miss. I love her reaction videos to films like these, but I prefer those where its her first time watching it...... though I suppose that's how most people feel about any reaction videos.

It's weird how the subtitles for this movie constantly reference Hal's superhero name as 'Tighten', but the whole point is that is intended name is 'Titan' as Roxanne discovers, and Hal only carves 'Tighten' into the city to show he's never seen the word 'Titan' before. It just kills the joke and that bothers me.

I've seen it pointed out, that the reason music appeals to Metro Man so much is because his powers can't help him be good at it. So it's something that requires actual effort on his part to be good at.

Honestly one of if not my fav movies. It's mostly between this one and Jim carrys prince. Which just have a pretty similar vibe between em when it comes down to a villain that really all that villainous.

Obviously, a major theme of the film is 'identity,' and nothing says that more than the fact that neither Metro Man or Megamind have actual names - they are only ever referred to in the films by their identities assigned to them by the public. But a really interesting fact about the film is that unlike Megamind, who very well could have just not had a real name beyond 'Megamind,' Metro Man had a fairly normal childhood, with a real family and name - and the script confirms this, naming him Wayne Scott. But he's never called that. He was forced to just be known as 'Metro Man.'

There is, but it's basically just a longer version of the TV show that released about the similar time and both have been widely considered to be awful

I love love love love love love LOVE the scene where "Metro Man" shows up to save Roxanne and then the reveal it's actually Megamind. The true beauty of that scene: it's Megamind giving Metro City what he believed they wanted, what everyone, including the audience, expects: for the hero to swoop in and save the day.
