Honestly I wished the series ended here. I did not vibe with the 4th film, and they're apparently doing an Anime film or series about the impossible task John had to do, which just ruins the mystery for me

Ok, never watched these back to back before. GOD DAMN does the martial art choreography take a step up in this one. You can really see how hard Reeves trained, I'm typing this during the knife display scene.

The reason for the big focus on the indonesian guys at the end is their notoriety from the cult classic action "The Raid" movies (even got their iconic karambits too!) and how this movie is really just a big celebration for action choreography and legendary stunt people (like Mark Damascos, Cecep + Yayan, etc).

Now do you see why this is my favorite one? The action sequences make my brain so happy. The girls aren't branded, those are cross tattoos, John has the same one on his left arm too. The cross burning his tattoo means he's no longer a part of the Ruska Roma. Hence "You can never come home again."

I don't usually make so many comments, but this being my favorite and so full of things, I gotta. The actor for The Elder, love that guy. He's the french soldier in G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, and also the french soldier in Wonder Woman. It took me so long to realize it that I'm actually a little embarrassed. Also, The Elder, he got that drippy drip. Damn he fine in that getup.

The reason the Adjudicator gave the homeless king 7 days is, as you missed, cause he gave Jhon 7 bullets TO KILL SOMEONE ON THE HIGH TABLE, they don't care he wasn't excomunicado yet, they care Jhon intended to use those to kill someone in an important position, and he helped knowingly

The Bowery wasn't being Adjudicated for the excommunicado, it was for providing Wick the weapon to go against the High Table. Basically providing the weapon knowing full well that he as going to kill the newly elevated member.

I love how this movie began over a Rick and Morty Reference, the Dead wife but it was the dog who got killed!!! "he killed my doooooog!" hahahaha Rick and Morty is such a pivotal show that influenced all of modern media!

They wanted to showcase how much of a legend John Wick is by having these "fanboys". Don't forget he is still the most feared contract killer/assassin even though he was retired for five years. To provide more context to the end I would recommend you watch The Continental, a miniseries roughly 40 years in the past from the movies.
