I always really loved that the cool teens were legit chill people. They're not mean or dangerous trouble makers, they're fun and a little mischievous but they're sweet and supportive for Steven. Its a refreshing depiction of the cool kid trope.

It's been an absolute treat getting to go through S.U. again with Alicia. She gets truly invested with the characters and world to the point it's almost like I'm back with everyone week to week (or sometimes MUCH longer waits) theorizing and worrying for everyone.

I love how the freeze-frames of that selfie montage at the very end show each Cool Kid paired up with the Gem that they're clearly supposed to visually and stylistically mirror. (Buck = Garnet, Sour Cream = Pearl etc)

I know I already mentioned it before but definitely think you should check out the official extended theme song short when you get the chance. It's not only cute but it gives some looks into the characters old and new. Was released a lil before season 2 aired I believe so it is not spoilery for what is to come.

Fun fact: i think from now on whenever you see Garnet's visor, it'll indicate whether Ruby or Sapphire is the more dominant part of her at any given point based on how much of it is red or blue, and if i remember correctly this is consistent for the rest of the show
