Geth Who

This was a TOUGH watch for wife and I. We love our cat deeply, and she's got a phobia of maggots.

RedRam-Ipsen

You can definitely hear hints of Illidan in Calebs voice from time to time Which makes sense since it's the same voice actor... 😆

Karma

Goblins are technically a monster lol if i remember correctly they're pretty much considered enemies by most civilizations though it has been awhile since i kept up with dnd.

Timothy Dowell

"What's a poon clap?!" 💀

Aliulo

"Do we really trust the goblin?" asked the *orc* to the *tieflings*.

Scrubthulhu

YUP. That was heavy!

FellwindXCII

This episode hits 10x harder if you've watched the campaign and know what Caleb's goal is.

Purist

As much as I enjoy Vox Machina, I think I'm liking The Mighty Nein way more. Characters feel deeper, more complex, more morally diverse. It might be because we see the group's first meeting and them finding their feet with each other, where in Vox Machina they were already a tight-knit group, with fewer flare-ups (Percy's vendetta and devilish bargain is the only one I can think of). Soooo... We have an (ex?) Magic SS officer in our party, a carnie blood sorcerer, a pirate midshipman who made a pact with Cthulu, a crazy (?) teifling who is super adorable and must be protected, a monk skilled in the art of Not Giving Any Fucks, with a major in Beating Shit The Fuck Up, (side tangent: I reeaally want to know more about her secret society Knights Templar or whatever their deal is, cause they guard knowledge, but also have agents to do missions? To what end? Curious...) and to round it all off, a drunkie goblin (Weirdly, the most normal of the bunch, though even she has depth and richness i expect). I eagerly await the next episode!

Honor Rosenfeld

Fun fact, Nott's speech about Caleb being "her boy" is basically verbatim what Sam said during the campaign. It was so good the writers didn't see any reason to change it🥰

Andy me

It's the pattern of a D+D group your first game together you tend to stick to tropes, because it's safe. Second games well... now ya know what the others like and don't you spread your wings and experiment

Malcorpse

Nowadays all the humanoid monsters (goblins, bugbears, etc.) are considered morally neutral to help that they are all playable races now. Doesn't mean there isn't still racism though.

PP82

Caleb's partners in Volstrucker training (as well as being his teammates once they graduated the training and became Volstrucker) were two of the Volstrucker who stole the Luxon Beacon in the first episode. Astrid was the Team Leader. They were also in the room during the experiments.

Sturstryk

Concerning Caleb "losing" his magic, this isn't so much that someone metaphysically stole it from him. Caleb has always needed to use material components for most of his spells (though not all: some don't require materials but instead specific words and/or gestures). This is more of a justification for why Caleb, a former badass wizard assassin, starts the campaign at level 1. And it's a combination of lack of materials, mental blocks due to his complete mental breakdown, and no longer having his former spell book that held the specific details needed to prepare more powerful spells. As crispy fried volstruker said, Caleb was in a sanatarium and barely able to string together a sentence after he killed his family, and that kinda reset him back to baseline with just the memories of what he was once able to do. And yeah, Trent did that to him, though not intentionally ... as if that matters.

Kiana Vayne

I was assuming that "took it" meant that Trent ripped the Residium Crystals that made his magic stronger out of his arms (In addition to the other things you mentioned), I don't see his arms glowing green like the other Volstruckers (Though maybe it's just hard to tell because of all the fire changing the lighting). I could be wrong though.

OpossumGoblin

Not regarding his amulet and being spyd on In DND some magic casters can scry (magically look for anyone) as long as they know who your looking for the amulet protected him against scrying magic in general and it wasn't connected with the green glass(residue) he had put in him then removed

Hellguin

Bren pulled a god damn Roy Mustang on her o.o

The Force

Now now ant, he's not playing a German, he's a Zemnian, get it right xD
