That animation when Joy Boy's haki was released was GORGEOUS. Especially Luffy's face!

one thing i want to point out is that there was obviously some way it was controlled. If you look at who got knocked out only marines and york got knocked out while gorosei got sent back. haki that powerful should have knock out some SH and giants as well. if vice admirals were being knocked out i doubt any of the weaker SH and giants can withstand that haki.

I love the golden light in the flashback and joyboy being a black silhouette against the gold water. It's a direct callback to the very first ED which fittingly is called "Memories". Go back and read the lyrics of the song and it fits this moment so well

Buccaneer seems likely and why that race was hated the most, it's either that or a giant given his close connection to them. There's also the big strawhat Imu has frozen and locked away, been so long I feel most forgotten it but that's likely Joyboy's hat.
