Man, I really am not a fan of the gender split this season. Too much attention put on "men vs wemon" instead of them as chefs...of course, this is just first impression. Maybe I'll end up enjoying the season but so far it can't compare to s1 lol

I'd love to see a show like this but with less scripting and manufactured tv "drama". Life can and will be absolutely stranger than fiction quite often, and it'd be cool to see Gordon fully unrestrained by producers lol There are definitely moments on this and kitchen nightmares where it peaks through but not enough unfortunately : (

Trust me, the 'men vs. women' angle is a bit more prominent because it's on both sides this time and they're being competitive from that angle. There's some actual sexism from contestants in later seasons.

Risotto. When I was in Boot Camp, I wrapped my retainer in a paper napkin while I ate. I threw out everything on my tray then realized the napkin with retainer went, too. I spent forever looking for it in all that waste and never found it, sigh.
