Elena’s character is very self-aware. She knows that Stefan loves his brother more than Stefan will ever love her, and she is very accepting of that fact. One of many examples of why I never bought into the argument that she is too self-absorbed. I did enjoy the lore shared in this episode and the explanations for vampire-related things like how vervain is poisonous to vampires, how sunlight affects them, how vampires must be invited in, etc.

Klaus didn’t kill his little brother. His werewolf side wasn’t active yet. Rebecca’s said that klaus first kill as a vampire triggered the werewolf curse (as how it does with any other werewolf)

Not “too self absorbed” but she is a teenager. And like all teens, she can be self absorbed from time to time. Or naive, and simply inexperienced in some aspects. I try to remember that when I assess most of the characters because they’re bound to do some stupid/weird/ ignorant/ selfish/ unhinged stuff 🤷🏽‍♀️

Whatchu mean who cares how she feels? Stefan is her incredibly dangerous, immortal stalker missing his humanity. And she went through so much to capture him too! So many people are/were in danger w/Non-humanity Stefan on the streets.

COTE for me is Alaric for deciphering the cave markings and revealing that Klaus lied about the way that his mother died. That was the most useful piece of information in this episode.

Oh it’s a lot more to the story and Rebekah, Klaus and Elijah have more siblings your just not introduced to them yet…Elijah mentioned in season 2when he was telling the story to Elena that his mother gave birth to 7 kids 2 of them died the first one which died of the plague and caused the family to move the land of the werewolves an then the last one who died by getting attacked by the werewolves. Klaus other siblings are vampires and he has them in coffins that’s what Elijah was talking about that’s why Elijah wanted to get the rest of his family back… all of this isn’t spoilers. Also you will get a lot more of the originals backstory on their own show the originals
