Totally get your frustration with Donny this episode, but I interpret it as him still working through his trauma. It's comforting to think that once you share it and feel lighter that it goes away, but it takes so much more work than that. :(

The show shattered me when I watched it the first time - well, both times, honestly. I went through so many emotions. It is an important story to share, and I am certain it helped others like it helped me -- and dare I say, helped you. ❤️‍🩹

Gosh I forgot that Donny goes back to see the grapist...and even more confusing, he seems to accept a job offer from him??? Granted, he may be stringing Donny along again (dangling money/success with no real intention to provide it) but it does very much make me wonder what happened afterwards with that situation.

If you are interested, Raymond, there was some fallout after this show regarding the 'real' Martha. She does an appearance on Pierce Morgan (don't know why she chose that show) but it's extremely fascinating to hear her perspective after watching this show. This show leaves us wondering about so many things, I guess it's partially an avenue to pursue some sort of follow-up -- although I can't say I was left with many more actual 'answers' after watching the interview. Still, fascinating if you're a student of the human psyche.

When I saw Baby Reindeer I couldn't help but notice the similarities to I May Destroy You. Both leads are the main character who are retelling their own real life experience of SA in the industry through a dark comedy. Man, Michaela Coel is just stunning in every way 🥺.

Agreed! Please Watch "This may destroy me". also one of the pinnacles of British self expression dramas with the actor writing and playing themselves. its hits different because they are expressive flawed characters. But not actually characters

Enjoyed watching this show with you, I was always hesitant about it because of the trigger warnings but it was really enjoyable.
