ArcAngel

I think when Rust is talking about the extra dimensional stuff, it looks to me like he is mulling things over himself... because he has recently been presented with new information about new crimes. Crimes which look a lot like the ones they 'solved' in 1995. Maybe seeing patterns...

5:55 Holy shit! That's the actor who plays Drummond on Severance. Unmistakable voice. Episode 5 is one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. 🙌 1:38 "And I can't decide if it's a cover up or the garden-variety incompetence here" -- sounds like our current government leadership I find it interesting that Hart's daughters went two opposite directions: the rebellious teen vs. the compliant good girl (good grades, cheerleader, etc.). Both very realistic pathways under this type of circumstance.

I guess Marty's down payment worked...😬

ArcAngel

Yeah Rust was already drunk cuz he just got suspended (when Maggie started kissing on him).

I'm trying to think if I've ever seen a show where I watched a guy have sex with another man's wife, and then felt bad for HIM! 😂 Rust just got suspended... it's like his workplace betrayed him, and then Maggie comes over and THAT happens! He really liked and trusted Maggie. I love Maggie and feel great empathy for her... and I would not blame her for cheating AT ALL. But why she had to use Rust for that purpose? Not saying Rust is blameless...but damn....I cannot imagine how alone Rust feels after all that shit went down.

Taco, this is a 10++++ reaction. Killer episodes, but your reaction and commentary brought so much to it on a new viewing. I never caught the taillight detail. Marty f'ing around with that young girl Beth (who is within 5 years of his daughter's age, I'd bet) is just THE WORST. Especially when I think about him giving her the money like some kind of savior in the earlier episode. It's a whole new low for him. Plus, the stuff with Maggie and Rust. IT'S A LOT. Seriously, this reaction was off the charts excellent. Can't wait to venture into the last two episodes with you.

Melissa

As I posted, Marty DISGUSTS me with this move. She's practically his daughter's age. But it's in keeping with his character so . . .

ArcAngel

Cosign all of this! Plus, as Taco alluded to, Marty beats those boys in jail and, yes, they were wrong, but the age gap between Marty and Beth absolutely dwarfs the gap between the boys and Marty's daughter (not to diminish what the boys have done, but wouldn't Marty even stop and think a little?). It's not technically illegal what Marty does, but it is incredibly gross.

Every time you start to get lost in the sauce I feel like quoting Louis de Pointe du Luc " let the tale seduce you" 😂 Also, yeah you take that ass whoopin every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

🤣🤣🤣facts..I can't be someone's buttcheeks I just can't 😭😭

PickleBaron

Listen, IWTV broke us. Taco is never trusting another narrator again. 😂

Rat MacKay

The film where I first took notice of Matthew M. was Frailty (almost no one knows it, so don't feel bad if you don't recognize it) because it was a role that I could easily imagine nearly every Hollywood leading man/sex symbol saying no to taking. Apart from just having the courage to take on the role, I was impressed by his work in it. It's a dark thriller and one that will kick around in your brain afterward...but you'd probably want to have a Disney film queued up for afterward!

Coming in late and hot but Marty's a fucking garbage dad. He can't go treating his kids like they are property, they have to be allowed to make their own mistakes. Rust was really skirting a line when talking to that guy, big time. That confession probably could have been thrown out in the first place by trying to tell him what defense to use... cause that's some horseshit to lead him like that. He's playing like he's an attorney.
