Ulrich is the first person we see on the show who we know for sure tried to kill an innocent kid. He’s been hunting a murderer, and look at what he’s become. Such a shocking scene, I thought for sure when he hesitated that he’d stop.

I think the biggest question is always, for 2019 to happen, all of the occurances that happen have already happened, how can you escape this seemingly cyclical journey, each time you think you're making an independent choice, it's like the one that will have always been. Ulrich made a horrific choice based on the idea that if Helge dies Mads and Mikkel would never go missing, but if he chose not to would the outcome have been the same?
