This is such a perfect miniseries. I’ve held off on reading the book since I’m not sure if the chess is as accessible without the visual cues. I really loved that the answer wasn’t individualism, that everyone came back in their own ways, and that Beth was never as alone as she always felt. She was very, very lucky to have the people in her life that she did too. They gave her a lot of grace. Passing the phone to Harry always gets me. 🥹

This really is a treasure of a series. It's so succinct in its delivery, every scene and storyline fits well and progresses the story of Beth and her successes and hardships. I love that in her own way, against some of her abrasiveness (I agree, she definitely would have been on the spectrum, her mum was a maths genius, too, I think), she still amasses a support network of people who love her and want her to exceed her own ambitions that she creates barriers for. What a lovely set of characters these men were (sod the French girl 🙄). Again, can't love Jolene more, such a beautiful lady inside and out, understood Beth and supported her - hope Beth gave her her tuition money back 🤔 Great reaction as always.

I love the little moment at 58:47. One of Beth’s pawns (the weakest pieces) have traveled all up the board to Borgov’s side, and can therefore be “transformed” to another piece. The strongest choice being a Queen, which she does. I think they focused on it to kind of symbolize Beths’ journey in the series. And in regards to her clothes, she also resembles the white Queen in her final outfit at the end 🌟
