Curtis' Dad bundle! This was my first time having Nico be malicious about his dad breeding antics, it doesn't help that Curtis was more than willing to give that cookie up. The original sketch had Nico's half-sisters in the foreground, bored with dinner and on their phones, but I couldn't quite get the shot right so I decided to crop them out. Not that they are important characters to begin with, mostly there for worldbuilding. Just think they're eating in their room because they can't stand their parents.

Fun facts about Curtis? He used to be a brilliant, fit young man with a very promising future and that made him a very good candidate to sperm banks. He'd need cash here and there, so he would make a deposit every now and then. That's why he might share a resemblance to a certain Leo O'Ryan.

While him and Joanne were very much in love in the past, they have drifted apart after he lost his job. Joanne has never been one to mince her words and losing the financial stability she felt guaranteed for life has made her extra bitter.

Curtis fondness for Nico is actually quite recent, after hearing certain rumors about him. His curiosity got the best of him and now he's confirmed them first hand. Now he feels more inclined to defend Nico from Joanne's nagging, which Nico does not appreciate because he sees it as fake.
