Generally I post progress on weekends. And for second tier patrons only. But I wanted to do a good faith post to thank people who came onboard after the test page got out. I have a Barria and Patreon illustration to complete this week, hopefully, and then another progress update to post for second tier this weekend.

But, if nothing else, this gives you an idea of how I work and what updates look like. I do the whole comic as thumbnails once I have finished the script (and this often results in some edits between script and thumbnail while I whittle it down to a specific number of pages). Then I use the thumnails to layout pages as I do sketch and inks. Then I will do the color and lettering last.

The Twins comic is set at 26 pages: meaning its the longest comic I have worked on so far. Which is just over two thumbnail pages.

Always hard to tell what's going on without seeing a script or any idea how much dialogue or text will show up. As it stands, some of the layouts tends towards repetitiveness or a lot of whitespace imo.

Yeah that's actually a concern I had myself about them and I'm trying not to get away with just telling myself its because of space allocated for word balloons. A lot of the repetition is supposed to be mirrors of scenes at different stages of size but I can definitely see it becoming repetitive and dull. I also am concerned about a lot of it just looking like talking heads on white backgrounds: so I may need to rework some of these pages to be more visually interesting. And no I'm not going to blame it on just being thumbnails or WIP. It's good feedback and something I genuinely feel like needs attention.
