Backlash/comments regarding my BBC audio. (Patreon)

Hi Guys! 💜

I want to talk about one pretty hot topic, or should I say - one pretty hot reason why some people's asses blew up? Anyway, if you follow me on X (or if you are on my server) , you know what I mean. But I decided to actually explain myself properly and comment on some... backlash I received.

Okay, so. I've made one audio featuring BBC, for my WatchMe tier. I want to mention right away that this topic has always been quite painful/delicate/tricky for a lot of people in VA community - for obvious reasons. Creators don't want to come across as racists, as someone who fetishizes people of colour, they don't want to offend or insult POC in any way. Including me. That's why I've been avoiding mentioning any skin colour for quite some time in my public audios - but after multiple requests, I decided to give it a try. I did my best not to cross any line, I definitely tried not to focus too much on ethnicity of the character. IDk if I succeeded - it's for you to decide. This area is still grey for me and I appreciate any feedback/suggestions, you know that. BUT what I do not appreciate in any shape or form - is the flow of insults I received after uploading this audio. Let's break it down:

1. "What happened to no Race Play, you racist disgusting whore" - nothing happened, Race Play is still in my "Red Flag" list so to say. But I figured, that the definition itself can be absolutely different for every person. For me, race play - is focusing on a certain race (duh), objectifying certain race, fetishizing certain race. I've never done that and not planning to. Yes, I mentioned that one of the characters is black - in what world it is considered a Race Play? Honestly, I am confused.
2. "You mentioned black people to get attention" - if I wanted (this kind of) attention, I would have done it long ago.
3. "You are racist" - No I am not. My content is inclusive, or at least I've always tried to make all of my listeners to feel included. At least when it comes to things like Ethnicity. I rarely mention anything that might indicate race/ethnicity.
4. "You are a BBC loving whore" - No comments tbh.
5. "All cucks/bulls are *****" - anyone who thinks that way, can just go and fuck themselves. And not in a respectful/kind way.
6. And last (but not least) - why I answer to some of those hateful messages. Because I believe that "being a bigger person" doesn't always work. You send me shit and insult me in my DMs, especially if you are doing this anonymously? Okay, the least I can do is to express exactly how I feel about your insecure pathetic ass. Sorry not sorry.

I really hope you guys know that I respect each and every one of you - I am incredibly lucky to have such a supportive and open minded audience. I really want to provide a safe and friendly space for each of you to enjoy your kinks without feeling judged or insulted. BUT I have zero tolerance for incels/racists/haters and just rude fckn assholes. I don't need them in my space. Our space.

So feel free to express your opinions in comments - and let's be nice, shall we?

Not to mention “Race Play” is, by definition, specifically mentioning and making the character’s race THE emphasis for everything. BBC is not inherently race-specific. There’s also “BWC” content, but it’s not about/because the character being/is white. Race Play literally emphasises the ethnicity and makes it the whole conceit.

You have navigated the whole situation in a flawless manner. I know you well enough to confidently say that you are not a racist nor would you ever make an audio that would include any form of racism. I know you take extreme pride in your work and always work to ensure the quality of it and that it caters to the intended audience. Just because every audio is not meant for everyone but are geared towards more specific kinks doesn't make you inconsiderate, racist, bad VA or any of that sort. You've already made it easy for people to keep different kinds of content separate with different Patreon tiers and if people still seek out audios not to their tastes that is on them and they can wallow in their misery and self pity. You are offering one of the most understanding and open minded environment for people with some harder kinks and you do it with style and grace that is unmatched. I agree that being the bigger person doesn't always work and so far your response to the incels has been as high of a quality as are your audios. Lina, again what you’re doing is all a fantasy and it usually doesn’t happen in real life. Maybe the hotwife arrangement can be real if it’s with consent but the other things you mentioned can be a fantasy. Sorry to explain my point. What I’m trying to say is there are many great VAs that fit one’s needs. Some can’t handle it at all and that’s okey. Anonymity is such a double-edged sword in our community. I see so many people choose to ignore that. A majority of creators in our community are still indie. You know Lina sees all your comments; she cares about what you have to say. She spends hours recording, editing, and rewriting audios. None of us have some gigantic team behind us like corporate porn. People take for granted that you not only have to visually design your platform, including getting the right art, dubbing shorts, putting out full audios every week, and so much more. I use my anonymity exactly how my mother raised me and how I am day to day. My comments are exactly as if I were face to face with someone at a table. But people think because they don’t have a face, they can be rude and mean to everyone in this community. It hurts, guys. I know it hurts Lina. She cares deeply about creating art. So please remember next time she sees what you say and treat her with kindness and respect. Make what makes you happy, Lina; that’s important!

Tough one. As a 3d porn animator, I get requests for this a lot. I've avoided it by evenly mixing skin color across vids and not specifically targeting any one. For VA I can see its more difficult because you need to use an actual word to describe things. Maybe if you vary and describe the color of everyone evenly it could be inclusive and detailed?

I only follow your patreon so I haven't listened to it, but I would like to comment because I always find this topic to be very interesting (sorry if it's long). Race play and the bbc fetish are so stigmatized because they have real world application. They're based off real world Ideologies, of the supremacy of one race over the other, so I think that sometimes the lines between fantasy and reality can become blurred and lost. Although I've never left a mean comment to any degree I can understand why people would feel a curtain way about it. I'm not going to name names but I've listened to plenty of audios with the bbc fetish, one creator even used the hard R when recounting a story. I never thought anything of it, and I don't think you or any of the creators I've listened to that have indulged this are racist. at then end of the day it's to get people off. Although when people think about this fetish they usually think about the most extreme end of it. I do think it's important that people separate themselves, their fantasy from reality, you got hate for this because some people couldn't do that. I think people see it as a personal attack against them, like I said I don't condone the hate you got, but I can understand those people. Usually I do not mention anything that is related to race/ethnicity, so that my listeners can decide for themselves, who to imagine and associate themselves with. But it's def more difficult for animators.

Were people really mad about this? If they were, I bet they didn't even listen to the audio and the backlash was just due to the title. Frankly, the audio had no real BBC fetishization at all and was only mentioned a few times, so it's a wacky ass thing to freak out about. The race was entirely incidental. Certainly wouldn't call saying "BBC" to be raceplay. If it makes you feel any better, I thought the audio was really, really good and probably my favorite of the month. Thanks for reading all that, i appreciate it. I was thinking about it a bit more and it's a lot in comparison to a cuck/cuckqueen/cheating audio. You can put a disclaimer that it's all a fantasy, but because it has real world application some people can't seperate them. So if you don't denounce that cheating isn't ok then people will think you're endorsing it, even if that's not your irl stance on the matter. And I've noticed before on some cuck/cheating audios VA's have put a personal disclaimer along with their normal one. So when it comes to racial fetishism along side a 'it's just a fantasy' disclaimer some people also need one to denounce racism, otherwise people think the worst.
