Hello, my little Marshlings.

I wanted to write a little something for those of you brave enough to support me here on Patreon. First, I want to say thank you very much for your support. You're likely here from Royal Road and The Newt and Demon, and I've got to say. This story has been the weirdest writing project I've ever done.

When I started working on the book, it was to take a break from my Steven Erikson inspired VRMMO novel "Erridina Online", which has a ton of moving parts, betrayals, death, etc. Theo was a simple character that I could jump into and relax. Broken Tusk was imagined as a place where everyone was having a good time, and there was none of that heavy stuff you find in other novels. Even some of the SoL in the genre could touch on difficult topics, so I wanted to avoid that completely.

The rules I established in my head were: good vibes, alchemy, no romance. The plan is to never deviate from those rules, no matter how many pages we get into it. There are some people who don't care for the soul-bond, and that's okay, but if you're one of those people stick around on here for the edited (novel-release) version of the book. I currently have no plans for releasing this in novel form (on Amazon), but once book 1 runs through my editing process, and my editors process, I'll pull together an ARC copy for patrons to enjoy.

Also, you can expect rambling blog-style posts like this from me, other random nonsense I'm working on, and maybe even some abandoned stories I have sitting around on my google drive. I come from a dark fantasy background, so I'll post warnings about content where applicable.
