Major event for book 3 (Patreon)

So, this is a slice of life story. When I normally write, I would have a ton of "major" events happen in each book. Since I'm focusing on crafting and town building, I'm keeping those sudden shifts of tone to a minimum here. I went to look at my notes and the major event for book 2 happens in chapter 29 and 38.

After those revelations come to pass, I'll post a poll here asking what people want to see in book 3. I'm going to write them as vaguely as possible, because spoilers. 

So, that means I have ideas out to book 4. I know the overarching plot. I know what it centers around and what we're working towards. There's a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff that has happened or is happening parallel to the events of books 1-4. How that comes together depends mostly on my Patrons.

At a point, I think I'm going to hit a fork in the road for this story. Going into writing book 3 in February, I'll try to run some polls on what the audience wants to see. I've done a lot of work to shift the responsibilities of the town off Theo, giving him more room to participate in character interactions and alchemy, which is what I think everyone wants. But once we get to a point where I might get the interest to introduce more elements, I want to run some polls.

Everything I've written has a sense of the unknown. No one in Broken Tusk seems to know what this world is, or how it was formed. They're very lax on the history of Iaredin and the formation of the Kingdom of Qavell. Why did Gardreth fall? Why is Qavell at war with Veosta? Well, I don't know how well that works in a slice of life, but I can't help myself.

Anyway, do you guys want a map of the continent? I think I'm going to work on one of those.
