Well, this is turning into a weird story.

Setting:

Medieval Fantasy LITRPG word (people can see their stats).

Adventuer's guild, imperial army, some people have classes others don't.

System Rules:

The bulk of the population doesn't have access to classes.

People can take as many classes as they want, but classes are hard to come by.

Classes are infinite, and obtained almost randomly (some common classes are easy enough to get, priest, warrior, etc).

Stat increases come through random feats, often related to class advancement.

Plot:

Dran and Grog are lifelong friends who have failed at everything. When Dran received a crippling wound, he was dismissed from the legion and his friend joined him for a life of adventure. After obtaining class evolutions, they find themselves chasing down an adventuring contract on a rogue bandit.

That's when Grog gets the idea of charging people money to figure out their class evolutions.

Tone:

Often humorous, often gritty.

Well, I have 4 chapters of this story written and I kinda like it. I didn't really like it until I got the intro over with, but that's not surprising. I have some nice legs to run with on this story. Lots of different classes that are super weird (wait until you see the anti-logic of Ogre Mage, or Dran's Spellscribe class). So, I'll post some chapters here without much fanfare. It will be to check interest in the story, and see if you like where it's going.

Some caveats with this story: It's not a SOL story. Well, I guess it kinda is, but there's no "fate of the world hangs in the balance" plot. It's about a guy trying to make a living and cure a magical ailment. Since they start in the system world, I have a plot idea where they befriend another character who gets Isekai'd from Earth (New Jersey) and help him figure out his class and skill evolutions. So, the story can be seen as a bit dark. People die on page, there's magic that easily kills people without classes, and an empire that fields thousands of those unclassed people into a meatgrinder.

Well! We'll see what my lovely patrons think when I post the story. I'll dump every chapter I have this weekend, if I enjoy where the story is going.
