Friday Updates (Week of 4-7-2023) (Patreon)

Phew, alright... Busy week. Really busy week. I think I'm still ahead of where I need to be, but you know. The hardest part about writing a book is ending it. Even if I know the ending to Book 3.

From a novel perspective, I know that this book lines up with what I want. I would like for it to be 70 chapters, but I'm not really sure. Honestly, the more mechanics get introduced, the longer it takes to get to any one plot point. Book 3 is just one big build to a single plot point, and it's been weird.

So, anyway. 70 chapters. Why 70 chapters? That would line with a personal goal of writing a 200k word long book. Which I've wanted to do. Sitting at chapter 55 right now and looking at the story, it gives me a great runway for my denouement. It's a slice of life book, right? I've tried to cram in more little moments, which just eat up chapters.

Then, nuts and bolts. So, I don't think I need a break from writing this series. I'm going right into book 4 when 3 is done. I'm trying to push myself to see if I can get additional chapters ready for release. I know I'm 20+ chapters ahead on writing, but I need to take into account life-related things. When I hit a comfortable number, tier 3 is going to get more chapters ahead of RR release. It's at 9 chapters ahead, then I'll try 12, 15, and so on until I'm comfortable. 

Anyway, short writing for this week. It's been extremely busy, but hopefully it calms down. lol.
