Update (10-27-2023) (Patreon)

Happy halloweeeeeeen. Because I won't write another update before then.

I finished writing book 4, and it turned out better than I expected.  I shuffled a few things around, and ended an arc before I wanted to. But I have some plot stuff coming up to take its place. It was an old poll on this patreon lol.

Right... So, N&D4 is finished, but I don't really have enough chapters to take a break. So I'll be starting book 5 on Monday. These past 2 weeks have been very busy for me IRL. But, I'm confident I can keep this pace without an issue.

I have the foundation laid for the mechanist book, so I'll leave that one alone for a while. Realized that writing more in the N&D world is in fact not a break from writing N&D. Working on something else in my free time. I won't talk about it until the entire book is written.

As for a schedule, I might try to dedicate some time every month to writing extra N&D chapters. Maybe 3 or 6 extra chapters a month, which would send tier 3 further into the future lol. This totally depends. I do have a plot for book 5, so I guess that's good. But book 6 is kinda not formed in my head yet. I know what book 8 looks like. But maybe book 8 becomes book 9. See how this goes? It just keeps ballooning out of control.

Oh, okay. I have another problem. I've been aiming to have these books at 200k. I don't really know if going over 200k is a bad thing, but my publisher seemed to squirm when I mentioned how long they were. I'm likely reading too much into it.... Oh, here I go rambling.  I guess the biggest thing I have going for me is that I write these as novels, and not serials. That was one of the biggest problems I had at the start, but we're so deep into it that people have a lot of stuff to read.

Aaaanyway... book 1 is still a ways off from release. My plan is to have another book ready when N&D book 1 comes out on amazon. Then maybe I can sell that book. Then maybe I can get away with doing this full-time. We can only hope, huh? The edits for book 1 don't change it entirely, but there are several things that are different lol.
