Okay, so we're getting close to the end of N&D4. Yay. I like the ending to that book, and I hope you do too.

What I'm doing now is writing 3 chapters of N&D a week, and trying to get a secret project done before the end of the year. I don't think that's going to happen, depending on how absolutely exhausted that makes me. After that, I think I'm going to try pulling the patreon ahead on N&D chapters again. There's some math involved there with how many hours I have to work per week to make that work but idk.

I'm absolutely refusing to talk about the secret project until it's done. Every time I talk about a project that isn't running, something goes wrong. Just know that the next book you get from me is going to be cozy SoL in a similar tone to N&D.

Something I learned from writing N&D is that the tone can dip too far to the dark side. I have come to realize how much the cozy genre means to me. I want to create the best possible example of how a cozy book can also have stuff going on.

Short update this week. As the year draws to a close, I'm just trying to get as much content loaded for next year. Not sure if secret project is going on RR, but it'll hit here no matter what happens. Working a real job and managing two writing projects isn't that hard. Working a real job and managing two writing projects on RR is another story. Yeah, you can just ignore the comments. Except I can't >:|

Also, when I know when N&D1 is coming out on amazon, I'll let you know here. As always, I appreciate all the support I've been given here. It means the world!

I say don't be afraid to get a little dark, it throws the coziness of the rest of the story in sharp contrast and much better for it. Can't wait for the last arc of N&D, and at the same time it feels like it's too soon for it to end lol.

Good point about the darkness to contrast cozy. I've been working on a list of rules for dark spots in cozy books.
